@@andrewallenmedia after posting the comment, I watched one of your other videos which explained your move from canon to Sony. I guess, I was/ am torn between the two… I’m not interested in shooting videos with them. More travel photos, family photos, street photos. The Sony seems a fair bit cheaper than the canon r6 mk2 which is swaying me to the Sony.

@@jamiefrench8934 It is also lighter and smaller, traveling with equipment can be annoying when it takes up a lot of space so consider that as well. I hope you give it a chance

It’s looks good but some shots were muddy, could be how it was exposed on my end as well. Maybe one day I’ll get back into it but it is definitely more fun if you travel a lot and use it in places with beautiful landscapes

Im also a D750 user Im a graphic designer Ive been shooting hybrid since 2014. I've not bought a Z because of the mixed reviews - but the Z9 with the latest 2.1 firmware really has caught up on the AF front (see Matt Irwin's latest video). I'm giving Nikon one last chance and waiting for the Z8 as I really love Nikon files. But if they mess up and don't get that AF into the Z8 I will switch to Sony. I wont be super happy with that decision as the rear screens on the Sony cameras are poor quality compared to even our D750's from 2014, and I really like some visual feedback on how Im doing on a shoot. If the Z8 is a mini stripped back version of the Z9 I'll be so happy.

@@markshirley01 I absolutely agree with you! If the Z9 had Autofocus and on-par with even Canon, the Z9 would be my first choice. I wouldn’t even have considered anybody else. I love Nikon and I want an excuse to stay, but it’s just so hard with Sony making some good cameras.

@@p0ggles the Z9 autofocus really is equal to the R3 - see Matt Irwin's latest video on firmware 2.1 - its a massive leap in reliability - professional bird photographer who had used the A1 and R3 says at the very least it's now equal if not better in his opinion kzbin.info/www/bejne/fZKukHakq7dogNU

@@markshirley01 I’ll certainly watch that video. If this is true then the Z9 might be the choice after all. I mean, the video options alone on the Z9 are nuts and no need for a fan. Thanks brotha for the video recommendation, I’ll check it out tomorrow.

@@p0ggles Id still wait for the Z8 - if you look at Nikons history, they always follow a flagship camera with a stripped down smaller body that sits at the top of their prosumer range.

Honestly not much, canon does have a more vibrant appearance but with RAW images in Lightroom, I get all the control to match canon colors to Sony files.
