My ex-husband is a police officer in broward County. We have 1 child 7-year-old boy. He pays for health/dental/vision and gives me $300 a month. I have 4 nights, (wednesday mornings - Sunday mornings) & He has (Sunday mornings to wednesday mornings) 3 nights. For years since our original plan He barely spends time with our son because of his demanding police schedule and working details as a police officer. My son tells me he barely sees his dad and sometimes not at all during his time share days. I have offered numerous times if he would like to change up the timeshare so he can spend time with our son but he has never taken me up on my offer . He is remarried, and either step mom has him or he stays overnight at his grandmother's house. Ex-husband is never the one picking up or dropping off our son for child exchange. He always sends someone else because he is unavailable due to work or sleeping. He is making alot more now than he did 7yrs ago... well over 15% does my case qualify for a remodification of child support, and if it does cause he then try to fight me for more time even though his police schedule is demanding? That is right, if you sign the birth certificate the State will say you are responsible for that child, but you dont' have any authority over that child. So, responsibility without authority. Does this still apply after HB775 which allows unwed-fathers to establish paternity by signing a voluntary acknowledgement of paternity at the hospital and if not rescinded within 60days paternity is established. Based on HB755 an unwed father has the same rights as the mother as if they were in an intact marriage. At which point could the mother still relocate without the fathers consent?
