In a lot of Southern cities Ive visited, the roads are terrible. Their right wing politicians dont believe in infrastructure. Just stuffing yheir pockets. I remember when Bush was in office. After he left, DC looked like Biff from back to the future was in office. Filthy reflecting pool etc

I’m from Nashville. I left when I was young and moved back to help with my grandmother who had dementia. If I had known they potholes was big enough to swallow half your vehicle, I wouldn’t have came back. It’s to much traffic and not enough roads. Their solutions don’t work. Since they built up to the interstate they didn’t want to widen it. It would cost to much and Tennessee is a cheapskate state. They keep trying solutions that other cities who have way more lanes than they do have and of course it’s not gonna work here.

The DOT and the state failed to design the infrastructure around semis and bigger trucks. We pay a bunch of mindless prius drivers to design a system around them.
