Russian Orthodox music a powerful mix of devotional and celebratory. When this piece goes to E Major it's almost unbearably perfect.

As a fellow bassoonist , I must tell you that you are doing "Stamping Ground" wrongly. Yet its still very good for a person with your age , incredible!

Very well performed. Thank you, sir! My first experience with bassoons was 80 years ago and I vividly remember the lovely young lady who came to our school to demonstrate various musical instruments. She was a member of our city symphony orchestra and taught in public schools as well. Fortunately, my parents enrolled me in her little group of stringed instruments. As most of them sometimes needed repairs, Daddy was able to keep them in good condition. Violin was my instrument of choice and I continued studying throughout my college years, thrilled to qualify to join the symphony orchestra later. All credit to the encouragement of a lovely a lovely bassoonist. May she rest in heavenly peace. ❤️ 🎶🎶🎻🎻🎻

Hey Tim, What a trip! Never heard it like THAT before! Well done! How you get the bassoon to sound so low on the bass part at the top!

Your original arrangement with double bass really deserved a contrabassoon in this all-bassoon version. Since I don't play contra, I played that part on regular bassoon, downloaded the free audio editing program Audacity, and used Audacity to transpose the pitch down an octave.
