I ordered 2 stabilizer legs and 2 pins for my dump trailer on may 20 got an email for the order . It hasn’t shipped yet and I’ve tried calling the phone number and emailed several times with no response . Did I get scammed for 267.00 $ dollars . PJ trailer parts .

I bought pj gooseneck years ago I can say they are quality built mine was loaned out and friend lost dozer as he used to small of chain .needless to say it took it very minor damage and used it for many years. My next will be a 20 ton low deck gooseneck. Cheap anint good and good ain't cheap by a pj trust me you wont regret it

Okay you mention that the gain is used to control the trailer, but where should the gain be set for icy conditions

just bought a 30' er today with 12k axles. We will see how it holds up to equipment. The PJ was a far better deal than Diamond C. More bang for your buck. The monster ramps are too heavy. I will probably try something different there. maybe some good HD Aluminum ramps. But look forward to putting it through its passes.

How much does the tractor weigh?

That F250 is 11,000 lbs over legal weight according to DOT's standard formula for calculating towing loads. Ford says 2020 F250 has a GCWR of 10,000lbs the truck weighs 5,400 lbs leaving @4,600 lbs for towing and payload. That trailer is 7,000 lbs and according to CAT that excavator is 20,000 lbs. Gearing will make the truck deliver power differently but it cannot make it more powerful or heavier so it can steer a loaded trailer like that at hwy speeds in a tight spot. I've seen charts that talk about gearing and increases in towing capacity, All I can say is DOT calculates towing capacity this way and pointing at a chart you saw on google isn't going to get you out of a ticket if you are driving this rig down an insured road.

Those J Hooks are absolute crap. I've had my trailer for a little over a year and both hooks have busted on me right at the top of the arch. First one after only 2 months and the second about 13 months. The weight of that ramp slapping back and forth down the road with such a low attachment point is way too much strain for that design
