I agree about Summer in Finland (lived there some years ago while working for my countrys embassy in Helsinki) - everything is so cold and dark and windy (Helsinki) in the Winter, so the contrasts of the Summer-scented plants and weather create a much appreciated constant smile on our faces! ps. have only seen Lahti in Winter (Ski World Championship) so these Summer-pictures were warmly welcome

Something about nighttime makes the smells more distinct and vivid. Every night the scent filled my room and somehow it brought me a deep sense of peace and happiness. We don't small talk. Truth. But if you approach a finn for some practical reason like needing a direction or any help finns are more than happy to help you out.

You actually made my city looking beautiful. It's hard for a local to see the beauty of it. I have always wondered how people from other places think Jyväskylä looks really pretty. Also people abroad are totally confused how athletic and sporty locals are not just students which study in the sports uni. Some comments I have heard are for example "I have never seen so many people jogging and doing other sporty activities and it's all age groups including old people" -yup it's totally normal to see old people active here. Swimming, skiing, bicycling, walking, jogging and roaming in forests gathering berries and mushrooms. And actually I have to agree with that comment since I have been and living in many others places too but Jyväskylä stands out with this.

Working atmosphere is no communicatio, harassment, double standard based on nationality They not more trustworthy than russians Extremly desappointing experience. Been in different places around world, on a 10 it worth 0 Weather is not the biggest problem Lack of social interaction, talk to you only when they drunk, no behavior or respect or your background and education, except for germans. Absolutly suggest to avois this country and never return
