why does anyone believe in this? Religion makes my blood boil, why is religion more acceptable than mathematical and scientific evidence? It’s ignorant and a shame to our species at this point. Sure, 1900-3400 years ago we needed to speculate our origins in order to feel more comfortable in a universe we could not yet understand. Now we have a solid basis of understanding the origins of not only the solar system but the universe as a whole, we understand how life has diversified and came to be, we understand the biology, chemistry, and physics which got the universe and life to the point it is at today. Science directly contradicts religious story books and the more we discover the more impossible it becomes for there to be any sort of divine intervention, we are at the point where religion is no longer applicable to life and it has no roots in reality. It logically does not make sense, no sensible person can be enlightened and involved with the sciences and have an ounce of respect for religion. How do you continue to live your life as a fallacy when there’s real life facts and evidence you can use to guide your life authentically. Not to mention even if there were to be a god, the god described in the Bible is by definition a tyrant and in mine and many others opinion unworthy of worship by human beings who have the cognitive ability to understand higher morality. All of this is a ridiculous waste of time and life (you are sure to be disappointed after dedicating your life to something fake and in death having no afterlife), please seek the truth and contribute to our species collective goal of observing the universe we live in and the world we occupy. I am ashamed to live amongst humans that still believe in this bullshit just because it’s an easy way to relive stress in life. Be better. Why are you so confident and sure you’ve chose the “correct” religion anyway, and furthermore the correct sector of a religion? certainly sounds legitimate when there’s thousands of different religions to choose from, and only one of them is deemed by any one person to be correct. It’s great when people cherry pick the parts of a religion they’d like to follow as well, absolutely genius. If it were to be real it would not be able to be so subjective that anyone can interpret it differently, like any other real thing it would have defined characteristics and aspects of it that were unable to be argued, it should just be a matter of fact which no religion is. disgusting.
