Hey there, probably weird to get a comment on a 2 year old video but I just wanted to say a quick thank you for this test. Despite others suggesting that you should utilize better testing methods I think this was perfect. The Lyra is designed as a desk mic and testing it like that in an environment where it would normally find itself is the best testing method for real life application you could have used.

What does setting it to match do?

Matched setting matches the tone with the older P10R belt packs. Great when you have mixed inventory with P10R and P10R+ belt packs. Tone wise, our guys feels it sound like there is abit more HF boost compared to Flat setting.

Hello thank you for watching this video! There wasn't any processing done. Audio and Video was recorded directly into Zoom. A few things to take note for a better audio quality via this USB mic: Quiet environment, microphone cannot be too far away and set the gain where it does not overload (distort). Doing a sound check and test record to review always helps. ;)

Nope no post processing. Video files from Zoom straight into Adobe Rush for quick edit 😄

Your AKG Lyra was farther from your mouth than the Rode Pod Mic. I own the Lyra myself and like it -- but for comparison purposes, mics should be the same distance from your face.

Yup it is plug and play. I'm using a Mac and it's been straight forward. Just remember to change your audio settings via systems preferences to select the USB mic as your choice for input. :)

Helloo, I have been looking for answers for a problem I have been having with the microphone that maybe u know how to solve! I don´t know why but the mic isn't working it is plug-In on both sides and then it only shows the blue led for a like half a second and then it disappears. My pc doesn´t even recognize the mic, like there isn't an option on the input devices and it doesn't even show to be turned on the mic. I don't if this happened to you? Do you have any tips on what I should do? Thank you!

Hey, I'm using a Mac when using these mics. Haven't had such an issue as u have described. With PCs, could be a variety of things like drivers, USB power, etc. But I'm not an expert in this. Best to get in touch with Thronmax direct to get some help! :) www.thronmax.co.uk/support/

Hello yes you can. There's a physical mute button on the mic itself. :)
