As a backend engineer, I want to point out that if you have a system, it should automatically check failed transactions and validate whether the customer should get a refund. This needs to be handled on a high-priority basis. There should be a clear message stating, “You’ll receive your refund by [specific date].” But no-there’s absolutely no information provided. Automate this process and notify users about the status of their transactions so they can relax instead of worrying about their funds. This is the bare minimum expectation for a reliable system.
