Rushing this must have been a bitter experience.. These cigars truly need to be purged first, to dilute the ammonia buildup.. Also give a cigar some time when lighting, dont burn it fast creating unwanted also bitter tars to begin with.. This cigar can be a solid performer, burn, draw and ash are excellent with great price and quality, however it is nothing too special it should have a steady flavor experience from start to finish, it does have a bit developing flavor journey as expected from this size..

Great tip about how what one eats or drinks before smoking one's cigar can influence the flavor(s) one tastes. I typically drink water before and during smoking to get the unadulterated flavor of the cigar. But, If I ever eat something or drank something other than water, the smoking experience is quite different (and enjoyable in a different way). Good tip.

Im a huge Rocky Patel fan. Makes outstanding cigars and Rocky is a class act. I had the pleasure of meeting Rocky at a cigar event in Toronto about a year and a half ago. Fast forward to Nov of 2024, I ran into Rocky and Nish at Rocky's lounge in Naples, Florida. Before I could even say a word to Rocky, he looked at me and said " I met you in Toronto last year".
