Very interesting, nostalgic “take” on the early 90’s - 2000’s street scene. I lived through this unique generation. My first car was a 1988 Mazda 323, 4-door sedan, but it was a stick-shift(four on the floor). I used it to get to school my senior year in WPB, Florida. Working at Pizza Hut I remember owning and driving many different cars while a part of this car culture. My second car was a ‘96 Ford Taurus, which I totaled in a really bad car accident while racing someone one night. Thankfully, I made it out alive and didn’t kill anyone in that crash. My later cars were ‘99 - ‘01 Acura Integras, all LS models, some automatic, others 5-speed. In the early 2000’s I got a lot of speeding tickets and got my license suspended 3 separate times due to accumulation of points on my driving record. I took a brief break from street racing while I was in the military in the mid-2000’s, but after I got out, I jumped right back into the street racing scene. However, in 2008, I lost my best friend Jonathan Ramirez (he was riding a 2008 Kawasaki Ninja) in a horrible accident in Orlando, Florida. This, was my “wake up call” to perhaps, I should probably reconsider a lot of these risky life decisions I was making. I will mention a few things that I have done… that I am not proud of: I’ve won and lost many races. I’ve had many close calls and near accidents. I’ve ran from the police at least 3 times, and gotten away. I’ve been up to 135mph on a secluded strip of highway while racing a Scion TC around 2a.m. I lost the race, but I drafted behind him and found out that it actually works. Now, just breaking into my 40’s this year, I am content to have: A valid driver’s license. Affordable car insurance. A reliable vehicle.(to get me to, and from work) I said I’d never drive an automatic… but here I am, all grown up, and driving a 2021 Chevy Malibu RS with a tiny stock turbo, great fuel economy, and I still occasionally take late night drives to relax… but I don’t speed any more, and definitely don’t race. I pray if you are reading this, you too can make it out of this dangerous lifestyle with your life intact. Don’t let it ruin your story with either death, destruction, or financial loss. You can retire whenever you like. The adrenaline rush cannot and should not be the excuse for throwing away a perfectly worthwhile life you could’ve lived.

I give you this they do look nice, but all the money and time invested in going faster than total stock car, going slightly faster than 13 seconds, you could of had a v8 just my opinion

It's a fair point, I guess at the end of the day, the heart wants what it wants but I got love and respect for v8's, v10's, v12s - it's all good.
