I thought it was such a missed opportunity to not call Disney+, the Disney Vault. Think of the cute marketing they could have done about the vault "finally opening"

I grew up with a few of these tapes. Since I grew up in the '90s, I had VHSs with the Sorcerer Mickey logo from the Cinderella tape. And I can safely say that said logo scared the absolute heck out of me as a kid.

The funny thing is that I actually don't hate Sorcerer Mickey. I'm completely fine with it if it's like the regular home video logo. It was just that logo. Something about how they unveiled him and the music they used for the whole thing really unnerved me as a kid.

I love Disney classics. I have many of them on VHS and DVD and 7 VCR recorders and 2 DVD players to watch them. The only thing I don't like about imported (I'm from Brazil) VHS tapes is how fragile the cases are. Here in Brazil they are (or were?) made of rigid plastic, which is great for keeping the tapes safer and mould-free for a longer time. Wish you success!!!

Thank you so much! And to you as well! Always love chatting with someone that loves VHS tapes as much as we do. And yes sadly many of the clam shells we've adopted over the years are broken, or the tapes need to be rehoused altogether. We fortunately have many many duplicates so we can (mostly) avoid using our hero collection as much as possible, to keep them safe.

We show a few in our first VHS episode, the Complete History of Disney VHS Tapes. But the Classics, because of the craze surrounding Black Diamond VHS sales, and just the demand for them in general, felt like a better initial deep dive. We will be doing a dedicated episode on the first Walt Disney Home Video releases soon though!

@ black Diamond have the false hype surrounding them that’s correct. However in terms of what Disney collectors are spending decent money on it’s the 1980s tapes . Therefore I would disagree that black diamonds are in demand. I may be the largest or the 3rd largest Disney vhs collector in the USA and I can tell you those 1990s tape we have no interest in. Make a video with all 1980s Disney tapes

You guys do great video walk throughs. Gets me all excited for my trip there in 2 weeks. Just love to see the shops decorated and hear Christmas music playing. Now once again for my fellow pin traders watching. The primary locations for pin trading take place in 3 stores. If there’s more please share as I know any beyond the main 3 i say here are subject to change or just not trade at all at the time. One of those bring the pin cone by the bus drop off station. Sometimes it’s there others not. Now for the main pin trading station found in. First going by the walking areas shown in this video are as followed. First is “pin trading station” found to the left after you pass under the monorail 🚝 track. The 2nd is the “Home” store. It’s found ether at the entrance or at the checkout counter. The final one is in the Wolrd of Disney store it’s found in the middle of the store by the unused doors where the stitch merch is found. The board here is the biggest in the downtown area and has the most pins.

Great place to visit in the Christmas season. They really deck the place out. If your i to pin trading like me. The Disneyland hotel has 3 pin locations. One in the lobby’s sign in location. One in the main gift shop. The other in a small shop next to the lobby and main gift store that you see on the right side of the video as he walk out into the open areas. I stayed here once MANY decades ago before the north tower existed. I remember the place being great back then too.

I like to swing by here for pin trading. I can trade in 2 different locations. I also enjoyed just taking a nap by the Lobby’s fireplace. Slept there for 3 hours no one bothers you. Great place. Just wish I could afford to stay there. Sadly I live by the rule, “Never pay more for a weeks stay then you do for a months rent!” Thus place goes WAAAAAAAAY over that cost for me!

They have some good deals throughout the year, but agreed it's definitely a bit pricey. Especially since we live so close already! But we love to see it during the Holidays for the displays.
