Why you put the actors' names on this ish like they gonna be on the show?

Really? Nat can’t even comment on what Siskel and Ebert think? All critics owe those two a debt of gratitude. Nat and his refusal to even mention them smacks of jealousy in my opinion

Could anyone tell me the music that was played while Keving Bacon was going crazy trying to get Elizabeth McGovern to the hospital. The film was sped up to make it even funnier but can't figure the symphony/orchestra music played. It's not listed in the credits either.

Enjoying your podcast! Would you be able to do an episode on Raiders of the Lost Ark and Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan?

Disappointed that two progressive podcasters who are so critical of political incorrectness in movies have no problem demeaning Tom Cruise because of his height, as if that's an acceptable form of discrimination.

"The Dukes of Hazzard" was pretty much like the film "Moonrunners", by the way.

Thanks for the show. I think both the idea of the Deca-Oscar and the retrospective Oscar are good ones. As a fan of Crash who has no problem with it winning best picture, I still think it would allow BBM to get its day in the sun (which many fans feel is deserved).

16:35 He said "You know, you ought to give up smokin'. That's bad for your health" and that was only the second time which was after jumping over the Mulberry Bridge. The first time was the one that she says "I just started" and was way before jumping over that bridge.

I'm very late to the party here, having recently re-watched the film, and I appreciate you guys taking the time to talk about it, so underrated. I particularly agree with and am glad you mentioned how rare it is that films portray teen girls supporting one another rather than drama/fighting/mean girls the way so many do, ripping females apart and expecting that all females eventually get jealous/mad at one another when that isn't the case. I remember in school I had some friends that were so dear to me and we always supported one another (Though yes of course there were people who I fought with and who weren't supportive, but that's males, females, everyone experiences that to some extent). I especially remember this one girl, not even a close friend, just a casual classmate girl who was fun to chat with around school/had never even hung out together after school, when I was having a hard time one year with family problems (had a lot going on, father had had a heart attack -survived but it took it's toll on him and us all, and I was having a hard time living at my father's and stepmother's house, fighting with them, exp stepmother, constantly in those months and struggling big time) and this casual classmate buddy could see I was struggling and we exchanged info and one day soon after this after school she showed up at my house without me knowing anything just to visit me and see how I was doing and bring me this stuffed animal to help comfort and support me and it was the sweetest gesture, so supportive and kind and no reason for her to do it other than she was a caring person. I specifically remember because at the exact time she had showed up, I had just gotten home and had a discussion with my father that left me in tears so her showing up really helped me feel cared for and supported/not alone and better. Women and girls absolutely can change each other's lives and support each other unwaveringly and I wish Hollywood would display that more often.
I watched Party Girl when it first came out. Parker Posey was my favorite mid/late 90s actress.

Margo and Sonia!!! I listen to you both on Stitcher- Dorking Out and What a Creep. Creep!!! I love both podcasts and both of you. You gals are so effin hilarious. Here's the big But... But, I found it hard to contact you outside of mainstream social media- all of which I do not care to participate in anymore. Thankfully, you're here. Yay! Okay, so please consider "What About Bob"- one of my most fav comedies. First- I LOVE LOVE LOVE Bill Murray. He's so funny, so silly, so damn awesome. He does such a great job in What About Bob- He makes me believe that he IS BOB. Plus, I busted a gut when he's on the bus w/his fish "Gill", Bill Wiley is randomly gagging and calling "false alarm" LOL!! He's so hopeless at the beginning and turns into a relentlessly positive person, much to the irritation of Dr. Leo Marvin. So when Bob's stalking pans out and he finds Dr. Marvin's vacation place, he walks around screaming his name. He (Bill Wiley) just randomly walks around screaming his name- "Doctor Leo Marvin!! Doctor...Leo...Marvin..etc!, Then, Bill Wiley gets a glimpse of his doc and runs to him and says, " I really appreciate this"!!! OMG!! I still laugh and I've seen this movie a couple dozen times. There are too many hilarious pieces of this movie- please put it on ur list :) I'd love to hear your take on t his movie. And, I think it's held up well over the years. It's not creepy, rapey, or gross- just silly and super fun to watch.

In the title it says "biggest" -- I wonder if some people be confused between highest budget and highest grossing. Otherwise, I thought the video was fantastic. Keep it up!
@dorkingoutshow43726 жыл бұрын
Hey Joe, hope watching the video helped out with the confusion. These are the highest grossing movies at the US Domestic Box Office. We had to focus somewhere, and because so much has changed with worldwide distribution over the 120 years of movies, we figured that would be a space where we could compare apples to apples best.
@rockets4kids6 жыл бұрын
Are these figures just from the box office or do they also include profits from TV broadcast, VHS, DVD, BluRay, etc?
@dorkingoutshow43726 жыл бұрын
Hey Rockets... this is US Domestic Box Office. No world wide totals, no DVD/Broadcast/Etc. When you start adding in all those, things can get difficult to track quickly. We used mainly the US Box Office data from BoxOfficeMojo.com

Great interview! And great to see some prequel-pushing. I was thirteen when Phantom came out and nineteen by the time Revenge hit theatres, so I'd consider myself somewhat lucky - the prequels was a serial that ran throughout all of my teenage years and I spent a great deal of them just waiting for the next episode. Like many others I grew up with the OT and watched the old movies to death, but by 1999 I was perfectly successible to a Star Wars movie that expanded the mythology and felt different and more multi-layered. Today I'm a bit of a prequel freak and had it not been for I-III, I probably wouldn't even care about Star Wars today.
