This song was written by my mother, Jean Chapel. She was absolutely thrilled by Connie's version of it, and so was the entire family! This is a true treasure.

Could you show her actually singing instead of putting voiceovers on a series of still photos. She does sing beautifully.

Let her actually play the steel in the video.

Search out Sarah Jory on KZbin. All the Truth Be Known channel videos are not videos. They are slide shows only with still photos. Most of the other channels are videos of her on stage but the sound quality is not as good.

I always thought that this track was out of place with the others on this LP, and that is because ti was planned to be a single release. The cry is a bit excessive on this track, but usually this was not the case. Some tracks are almost devoid of this. I like all of the styles by Connie, displaying her great versatility. I do believe that a singer must emote rather than sing devoid of any emotion. The Big Band singers were usually devoid of emotion. When Connie came along, it was a new sound. On her initial million seller, Who's Sorry Now, the anger came out. That is what got the attention of Dick Clark. It was a new sound compared to the Big Band era. Also to her credit, she was able to hit and hold those notes while emoting. Opera is also known for this feature.

Very beatiful - why not play it solo on the steelguitar - or maybe with a contrabass.

I think this song means . We shared a goodnight kiss before turning off the lights . Then laying beside me in the darkness , anticipating sleep or a spark . However , the night passes without any spark , leaving us quietly concerned and pondering , with the silence deafening like thunder . Resonating with finality of a goodbye . Its a sound that hints at the end . Whether it holds truth or deceit . We could discuss mundane topics like the weather , news , or gossip in town , but underneath it all , another true love is crumbling . We could talk about promises and lies , but there's no use in shifting the blame . As the echoes of " I love you " still linger , tainted by unmistakable ring of farewell . Time maybe eternal , but love can flicker out like a dying flame . Each passing day growing colder , with relentlessly ticking of the clock . Serving as a constant reminder of the impending farewell . Its a feeling they can't quite explain , an unfamiliar sensation something they once held dear . Sometimes , recognizing the signs and parting ways is the wisest choice . Rather than clinging to a love that is slowly fading away . Its a tough realization , but sometimes its better to acknowledge the truth and bid farewell . Rather than holding onto something that has already slipped away . Sound Of Goodbye

Heartaches, heartaches, My loving you meant only heartaches Your kiss was such a sacred thing to me I can't believe it's just a burning memory Heartaches, heartaches, What does it matter how my heart breaks I should be happy with someone new But my heart aches, for you Heartaches, heartaches. My loving you meant only heartaches Your kiss was such a sacred thing to me I can't believe it's just a burning memory Heartaches, heartaches, What does it matter how my heart breaks I should be happy with someone new But my heart aches, for you Heartaches, heartaches, What does it matter how my heart breaks I should be happy with someone new But my heart aches And my heart breaks And my heart aches, for you...

One crazy thing about the McGuire Sisters was that they looked and sounded incredibly wholesome and perky, but Phyllis - the lead singer - became the girlfriend of a notorious crime syndicate leader.
