Thank you for a really interesting presentation. I really learned a lot. Glad to hear that the Khmer Krom were discussed, but what about the Kuy, who are probably the oldest inhabitants of this region, but seem to be very fragmented and almost invisible in both Thailand and Cambodia.

After watching the first 12 minutes only, I will comment. It would seem likely that the 97% Thai population figure from the CIA Factbook is the percent of the population with Thai citizenship (versus Thai ethnicity). Edit: Re-watched that section (9:35) and there is a note that the data refers to nationality (meaning citizenship). Why they have that data under the heading "Ethnic groups" shall remain a mystery.

A fascinating and very well delivered talk. Thank you to Mr Selway and for the owners of this channel for posting. A rarely discussed but vitally important subject, the juxtaposition to the UK and its regions is also interesting.
We are so proud of Mr. Suwichan, a great ambassador for our people

Tricia, thank you so much for sharing. Being a Cambodian-Chinese-American (I am also Chinese), is really difficult at times. It's difficult to preserve culture and traditions, but even more so to incorporate American culture and traditions. Explaining it to my parents so they understand (American culture) and also learning about our own Cambodian culture is definitely a never ending journey. The least we can do is try to understand. So happy to see you are on this journey. It is a great reminder that I should not take the knowledge/information I have access to for granted. :)
