I don't understand why a mythical character in a plagiarised book, that was pro slavery, is someone that makes you happy? What's worse, the story of Jesus isn't even original, it's ripped off from older religions. The final irony, is that so many black American women are so overbearingly Christian, the religion of the slave owners, not their ancestry. They used the Bible to justify what they were doing back in those days.

But when I started to get to know him more, and when I started to see the context behind all the ‘rules’ and other stuff, and when I started to search for answers, I saw it much differently and I fell in love with him. It doesn’t say this directly, but in Leviticus it gives us some context and tells us that slaves should be treated like hired workers, and we wouldn’t call a waitress/manager relationship cruel or unjust.
