Patch is pretty good and all that, but... Is there a way to make music work like it does in later games (so it doesn't reset every round).

@JohnSheppard1 What a shame. Since it was done with SSF2 and SFA2 MSU-1 !patches, i assumed the same could be done with this patch.

@@JustGeneric75 It was done with Super and Alpha 2 because that's the way they behave in the original arcade versions. All versions of CPS1 SFII didn't have continuous music between rounds.

Excuse me, could you please share which emulator you used? I tried bsnes but encountered issues with MSU (msu track didn't work). When using SNES, I'm stuck at the movie ending.

I like the original SNES ost as well. It sounds more dark and menacing. The whole game is a masterpiece and a prime example for a well done arcade to 16bit home console port from the mid 90s.

If the Genesis Mini can run RetroArch and the Genesis Plus GX core then you should be able to. Real hardware requires a flash cart. Either a Terraonion MegaSD or a Krikzz Mega Everdrive Pro.
