Since everyone's writing about their own incidents here, I'll do the same. I was having a hard time killing one of those spiders (the ones that have webs) and I just started spamming pikmin at it. Bad idea. You can probably guess what happened next. By the time I had stuck like, forty pikmin to the thing, I threw a bomb into the mix. One might believe I was trying to slaughter them.

People say that the boss is hard, but is a bit easy. Before fighting him, memorize the walls which serve as protection. If you don't remember the walls, try running with only some Pikmin. (about 10 -15 Pikmin) If you have more than this, the Pikmin in the back can touch Man-At-Legs' lost fireballs that he didn't hit in the squad. To be honest, he is not that hard 💀.

I had a bomb rock go off on me once, also because of fire. I only had reds in the squad, so I noticed it instantly and immediately got away from the primed forbidden jawbreaker before it blew up. I don't remember what happened after that, but I do recall there being zero Pikmin casualties.

I had something similar happen to me playing Pikmin 4. *_TLDR: A pikmin noob gets attacked by a startle toad and a random dweevil, loses lots of health and pikmin, water wraith attack shortly after, gets suicide bombed by venom dweevils with bomb rocks._* I was taking on "Engulfed Castle" (btw, I had never played a Pikmin game before and I was kinda exploring only a 1 third of an area before moving on, a foolish mistake ik), and after successfully avoiding the Water Wraith for 2 sub levels, my demise started with... A startle toad. My Pikmin were moving treasure over the trap when it happened. I tried to retreat but it caught me. After I escaped, all of my crew were panicking from the poison and just when I regrouped them to Oatchi, a venom dweevil landed on us, scattering my crew back into the poison. More whistling and scrambling later, I had lost 13 Pikmin out of 40 and almost all my health without a med kit left. Then the water wraith arrives. I move away to avoid the wraith and encounter a group of venom dweevils with bomb rocks. I think to myself, "Oh! If I can get those bomb rocks, I can take down the startle toad and grab back the treasure." So I advance to the dweevils, and they advance to me. BOOM! I'm knocked out, my crew is gone, and poor Oatchi is all alone. All in the span of around 3 minutes. I restarted the area after that.

This is one of those "mistakes" that show how cautious of a person you are, because a more cautious/anxious sort would avoid the fire without being told it sets off bombs, because why would it not? (the answer would be the developers just didn't think of it, but they did in this case)
