I have seen this clip several times, it's one of my favourite anamorphic uploads. Can I ask which diopter you used with the 35mm anamorphot?

amazing work!

The location 10/10 Camera capabilities were fine. Lens, nice. Camerawork, kinda meh. The pans were so so, the slides lacked a lot too. The edit however was the main thing, these shots would've fit in a more fast paced edit, I like calm videos but the shots don't fit it, that only works if they've been executed properly.

Any details on audio recording? That made a huge difference to the enjoyment of this video.
@risenmetal8 жыл бұрын
+district5rookie Yeah the audio really sets the atmosphere. All the audio for this video was pre-recorded audio effects I found on youtube. KZbin is an amazing place to get foley sound effects to save time from recording audio on location. It comes down to selecting the correct sound for the space your in and how you mix it. For basically all shots in this video, I used multiple sounds to create the environment. For example some of these shots I had a layer of a stream running with sounds of birds and light wind mixed together to bring that environment to life. You dont necessarily need to record audio on location and it can hurt you if you dont have the correct equipment to do so.
@district5rookie8 жыл бұрын
Ahhhh that's a very good idea. Thank you so much for replying. I'm looking forward to trying that myself. Are there any dedicated foley channels that you can recommend?

Man, the GH2 still holds it's own. It such an outgoing camera. Such a unique look, that can't be contended with. Not that it's the best, just so unique; like a cleaner 16mm feel. I actually was surprised the lenses you used, as I watched it first. Cheers!
how cumbersome is 'double' focusing, would you say?
@risenmetal10 жыл бұрын
Double focusing can be a real pain especially for run and gun stuff as it gets really frustrating. But if you want the best quality lens its something your gona have to be accepting of since all the best anamorphics are dounble focusing.

@RefractedFlickers10 жыл бұрын
Did you hack the GH2 with Flowmotion, or is this the camera out of the box? Looking into purchasing one of these cameras myself.
