I hated presetting with electronic chokers!! I know you can jump out of a airplane with them and live you know they will hang up on something on the way down! When the pitch is running they are a bear
@splitnutranch16 күн бұрын
!00%. these new ones are better than the old ones. I hated working on batteries and the pitch every night after work. My thumbs wore out from pushing the plunger in all day long as well. I hated them with a passion!!! LOL

Looked like a new machine until I saw the company logo and saw the TSY. Still, a lot of money in those three machines to get logs out of the woods. Things have changed a lot since I spent four summers working a cat show landing in 1959 to 62.

I have seen a hoof trimming chute that is used in sheep. You get them in the chute and close it around them firmly then you can rotate the chute upside down. Trimming goes very quickly, you rotate them back and let them go.

As a 83 year old retired logger it’s always good to go into the woods again, even if it’s through the eyes of your video. I worked mainly in SW Washington and Clatsop Co. in Oregon and retired after 55 years as a yarder operator for Nygaard Logging in Warrenton Oregon. Thanks for the trip.😊

"Logging in the Oregon Coast Range is a real challenge, especially with tethering technology. The cable support system helps machines move through steep terrain safely and efficiently, but it also requires a high level of skill and experience from the operator. Just a small mistake can make things extremely dangerous. It's impressive to see the combination of modern technology and human skills to conquer these harsh terrains!"
