I really miss paw paws 😢I live in Fort Wayne now so I can’t get them. I think I’ll find a place to order seeds.

We just picked two tigger melons from our garden. My son tasted melon first and as he kept chewing, he tasted banana and then bitter. I took a bite out of same melon and tasted cantaloupe though not as sweet as your typical cantaloupe, but I liked it. No chemical taste here.

Good idea to chip up those bushes for mulch. You can also make some trellises from your cuttings and maybe even an arbour. You might also be able to bury some of the wood trimmings to fill out your garden beds. I did that a few years ago. Like hugelculture. It took a couple of years to fully break down the branches but I had dug down a bit before and then recovered the branches with top soil. It didn’t seem to affect the plants growth in a bad way but I wouldn’t plant carrots there.

I did think about using them for the garden beds too! I’d probably do that before just having the city take them… if I can’t get my hands on a wood chipper

If you're using ancestry, you're probably missing any step family members. My family is also related to Lucy Bearpaw Proctor and Grandpa (Estill Harris) grew up not far from where she was buried. But at the same time, grandpa had a Stepmom and we don't know if the only Mom listed on ancestry is his biological mom or stepmom. It lists all of his siblings under one Mom too so that doesn't help.

Tigger melons are only used for decoration that same way as ornamental gourds do and not for eating that's why it tastes so bland, horrible and bitter

Last year when I used cardboard and when I pulled it up in the fall to plant a tree, there were thousands of winged things I’m pretty sure were termites. I didn’t know what to do. I lifted and discarded all the cardboard I put down. I really want this to work for me but I’m scared to draw termites to my house. Do you or anyone in the comments have any advise for me?
