Had mine 18 months now, I still think it’s the bees knees ❤ I just had one rather scary reminder that it’s not a motorcycle when riding with my brother in law who now owns my last motorbike in the Derbyshire Peak District I went in too hot on a tightening rising right hand bend, I ended up right over the wrong side of the road, praise the Lord nothing was coming. On a bike having the tank between my legs and a slightly forward position with tip toes on the pegs I can if needed tighten my line, not so on this though. Of course it was my fault, the Burgman corners lovely but it requires more effort on the edge. I’ve slowed down now and just love it

Do you have a link to those little mirror add-ons? I think that would be a great solution for me because the stock mirror setup isn't quite good enough.
@barrysmotorcyclerides3120Ай бұрын
I don't have a link but I got them off Amazon they were Berfi Life Blind Spot Mirrors. They do help but not the best.

When I first was interested in a scoot, I looked at the Kymco but the nearest dealer from me was like 80 miles. I narrowed it down to a Honda Silverwing or the Burgman 650. I found a deal on the Burgy, so I went with that back in 2006. Then I got a 2012 Burgman 650 Exec. If I didn't have balance issues, I would probably still be riding it. Went to a Can-Am Spyder in 2021. Never looked back.

Looks like a good day for a ride and some pretty scenery. The Burgman 650 is a comfortable bike for a long ride and is plenty powerful as well. I agree with another poster who suggests a reverse gear with a camera would be great. Sadly these bikes are no longer sold in Australia where I live.

Looks like a good day for a ride and some nice country. The Kymco is holding its own well against the much bigger (engine size) Burgman.

In my opinion the Burgman 650 AN Executive was the best of the maxi scooters while it was in production. It is no longer sold in Australia where I live. The CVT works well and the manual option is good for the highway giving an extra gear improving fuel economy. Plenty of on board storage both under the seat and in the glove boxes is augmented by adding a top box. I really like the fold in mirrors and the adjustable screen. Mine is extra wide and high so I'm well protected form the wind but I can get some extra air flow at low speed with the touch of a button. It is great around town but is even better on the open road keeping up with the cruisers and sports bikes. ABS is good on the brakes. Had it still been in production I would suggest an electric reverse gear with a camera, cruise control and perhaps some music. Yes it would add to the cost but I see most of those features are now available on the Yamaha T Max and the Gilera MP3 550.

I just went to the darkside myself on my '02 VLX 600. I think it's great so far. It cost less than half of the cheapest motorcycle tire I could find and it seems to perform great. I also feel like it's easier to perform u-turns and slow speed maneuvers contrary to what I'd heard from some other darksiders. And I only have a couple hundred miles on it. I hear it gets better from here on.

Got the same machine myself, it was either give up entirely from chronic severe back pain and bad osteoarthritis in knees and hands, which was making riding an ordinary motorcycle impossible in the end, or give one last ditch attempt by getting the 650 Burgman, it does everything for me, I just wish it had a reverse gear for paddling it around when parking. It looks like you’re taking to it though. Do you still have yours?

The 'Savage' is a super-cool bike no matter who rides, male or female. It's a single cylinder '650 cc' thumper. There's absolutely nothing out there like it! It has a perfect styling, low seat, 'flickable' handling, it's inexpensive, and it's SO much fun. If you have never had a 'Savage' consider buying one while there's still a few used ones out there. You are on the clock ...

Yo mamma hauls ass! 😆Looks like you have a C50? Yours is fuel injected. I never took my S40 to 80mph. The carbed S40 needs A/F adjustment if you put a free flow pipe on it. May have to rejet it too depending on what pipe you put. Some backpressure is a good thing.
