Yo I’m new to magic, me and my wife are learning it. She got this card in a booster pack and added it to her deck. I’m confused on the wording of it, and hopefully you can explain it to me. Does a source dealing damage, mean ANY type of damage that she causes, including combat damage, enchantment, instant, artifact.. etc

It came in the Pre-con that brought back all the energy generators along with some new cards that adds extra energy when they trigger, not to mention the commander also generates energy and you don't necessarily have to pay the energy to keep what it copies

I like Spell Swindle and Access Denied. A little pricey, but in my artifact deck they have enormous payoffs (treasures and thopters = the countered spell’s cmc)

@@WeeCj I think my Galea Kindler of Hope deck runs a couple, just fierce guardianship and pact of negation and sometimes an offer you can't refuse, but it's just to protect my stuff

I like it, but it's weird because it's not x or less it's only whatever x is on, which is pretty narrow. Overall it's what I would want to see on a 3 drop rock

It can pin down commanders. It turns them into textless frogs. Could you imagine the storm count when a full enchantress deck is going off? It'll wreck some people

@@WeeCj it would be insane in a Galea Kindler of Hope deck that's built enchantress. If you just get off two spells first then it can lock down everyone else's commander for 3 and a lot of the enchantresses will get to draw from the tokens etb

Most decks need cards to function, simply counter, bounce or kill their combo pieces. Not the other player's fault you can't outplay their stuff. It's why you always have plenty of counterplay, in the form of either removal or counters. The best cards to counter are commanders and tutors. This is why I always have either White or Blue in almost every deck I play. Most players need combo pieces to pop off.

I used to think the same thing, but a guy at my local LGS build an actually really cool sliver typal deck with Alesha who Smiles at Death as the commander. It was genuinely decent fun to play against

I have done this, using Guilt leaf arch Druid and most fun win con in it is tapping 7 untapped Druids to steal all my opponents lands. Since slivers are druids....
