@mnto5879 it's definitely a 'versatile' snare, to use that popular drumming phrase!

Was at the gig was a surprise to see Josh Smith playing 2nd guitar definitely a bonus, could with SRV,s keybrd player
@davidmiller2050Ай бұрын
@geoffgoodall3839 I think Josh Smith has been his no.2 guitarist for a little while. Being a drummer myself, Josh and Joe's current drummer were on a cymbal company's video a while back and I guess that's how he got the gig. The whole band are just incredible!

Lovely kit. Built like a tank.

@innfield8836 the snare is very tank like! I'm glad Pearl released alternative L rod tom arms too. I've always liked Pearl kits but wasn't keen on the tom arms. The kit sounds great!

Nice shout. But in the view of this reluctant septuagenarian, Jimmy live had nothing on Joe. Great song-writer, great trail-blazer for sure - but when it comes to sheer stage-craft, only Cream-era Clapton came close. ……. Although Rory and Jimi were pretty unbelievable too.

If I had to guess, the heavy are in the standard posistion and medium are auxillary position. Heavy sometimes equates to brighter sounding

Are you using the base sounds on the DTX502, or drum software? What's your thoughts on the 502 module and Yamaha cymbals?
@davidmiller20505 ай бұрын
Hi, it was the base sounds on the module. It’s set to kit number 52. I edited it a little in Logic Pro. I find the module okay, it’s pretty straightforward to use. That being said, I’ve not tried a module from the top end Yamaha electronic kit. The 3 zone cymbals can be a bit fussy where you hit them, but again, I don’t have any real problems with them. The cymbal pad on my right only does one thing and it’s good at that!
