Got a blued Commander in .45ACP. I found everything was pretty tight, so I disassembled the whole thing, WD-40ed everything to clean off any manufacturing lube, wiped it dry, then lubed with Mobil 1. Mags need to break in some but my first 200 rounds of cheap 230 grain ball went right through. Next range trip will be 100 rounds of carry ammo, Xtreme Defender, 200 grain +P to zero the sights, and ensure reliability. Great pistol, feels almost exactly like the Wilson’s and Dan Wessons at the gun store; couldn’t ask for better!

Great to hear Kevin. I think I just hit 2 lemons in a row. The gunsmith said that is not terribly unusual over the past 4 or 5 years. He said he's seeing new guns fresh out of the box all the time that don't function properly. Not as often full lockups like mine did but he sees it. I used to buy a couple guns a year. I've quit that. I if I find one that runs right I just keep it now. I'm not looking for the next better thing anymore. Although I would like to have DW one day. Thanks for the comment. I look forward to the next conversation.

I have owned 2 FORTE GT"s (20 and 23). The 20 I put 100 k miles in 3 years and the 23 I have with 35K miles. No issues on any of them. Pros-Performance, exhaust note, HK stereo, layout of interior, heated and cooled seats, best value compared to Civic and Corolla. Only complaint is I wish the interior seat leatherette was more robust and center post makes is hard to see traffic to the side. i would also prefer a wireless Apple car play.

One thing that bothers me from Springfield Armory is that many of the internals on their 1911s are MIM parts and cast. Whereas Tisas has fully forged everything. Every part. And they have 1911s that are fully upgraded for 300$ less than the Garrison. Also comes with two 8rds mags of good quality. I want the Garrison, and I want to support USA made. But heck how can I with Tisas offer? Make it make sense

That is too funny. I think they are both pretty good products. I am concerned about the bag getting caught on the metal mechanism of the attic door and tearing it open but we will just have to be careful about that. We were able to get all our ornaments in the one box. There may be 120 holes but there fairly large and many of the holes we were able to put 2 or more ornaments in. Happy New Year my friend.
