The instructions on the Qantas dangerous goods web page says that approval is required for battery packs over 100Wh and provides an email address to send the request to. Send your request to it and you get back an auto reply (that you can't reply to) sending you back to the webpage... Australia bureaucracy at it finest.

Very informative. I self reported an AI once on the phone after the flight. Very minor on the boundary. ATC did not notice however were grateful for the call.

Good lesson. I think there is also another lesson that could be taught. Check with local operators or tower about procedures in the area. Not unusual at Essendon to get early left turn instructions for 26 due to tulla traffic, a normal Vy takeoff would of been fine in those pipers then turn when you're at a reasonable height. I think if the pilot had of gotten a briefing in this case they would of expected the instruction and the stress caused situation could be averted.

Why is it so hard to find information about legitimate prescription medication that can cause a positive result? The discrimination people with ADHD face in this country everyday just to be able to get the health care they deserve is ridiculous but on top of that we have to worry about losing our jobs becuase of it too. It's awful.

AvPlan and OzRunways are used way more than physical paper, so why even talk about paper charts and ERSA?? Legal requirement to have a backup is another (old) iPad. Probably cheaper than paper charts which you need to buy updates of all the time. NAIPS website? Never used it. There’s an app for that.

NOTAM's need a "Prioritisation/Importance/Urgency" system... there's way too much to digest on even the most simple flight these days. Anything more than 5 paragraphs is too much... Unless of course, it's all Urgent and within 5NM of the planned flight path. In my humble opinion.

Can small planes fly under 100m over residential buildings? What if they have just taken off or are a fair few km from landing still?

I would like to invite the people from CASA and the GOV who makes the laws and rules to come out and show themself how to fly within 30m of people, not 32 or 29 metes, but 30 meters on the dod. If they can do 100/100 try, all good, if the fail one, scrap that rule. People can stand next to a truck flying past at 100km/h, and they see no problems, but a small drone, big problem. As of today, nobody has been killed by a small drone worldwide. Time for them to put danger in perspective. Oh, a guy in New Zealand died the other day playing Rugby. Time to ban rugby.
