Do you have the fake piped in sound connected or disconnected?

@paultrapp7279 it's a single muffler but connected higher up. So almost a muffler delete. It's like a muffler resonator combo.

Hi ya All - I had a Corsa Sport installed on my 2024 BRZ tS. Before you hate, let me explain. I put a Borla Sport on my 2004 Corvette and the drone gave me a headache within 10 minutes. I replaced it with a Corsa Sport and there was no drone. So, to preempt the same situation, I went with the Corsa first and am totally satisfied. Borla makes an incredible exhaust, but my preference is the Corsa with their anti-drone technology.

@therootedprogress6 ай бұрын
6spd long run, maintenance and durability. CVT actually does better offroad crawling temporarily. However the strain of crawling will wear and tear your CVT much more than expected. It will do it and it will do it better than the manual at the sacrifice of its longevity.

@bu6jon6 ай бұрын
@therootedprogress yessir, seems a ton of builds have custom matte black stickers that all match, I figure they all get them from the same course but not sure where! Love the look, would consider it on mine.
@therootedprogress6 ай бұрын
@bu6jon it's been a while, but from previous experience working with a sponsor, the manufacturer or brand needs to provide the vector of their brand logo for you to bring into software (don't remember name) so that you have the exact font they use for brand accuracy then u can change color and send to a vinyl printer if you have one.

Needs a Forester strut lift 3 inch spacers and body lift kit and probably 1 1/2 in wheel spacers for the hubs and might look good and then make a custom bumper with brush guard for the headlights with winch and skid plate attachment❤

Do you prefer atak over s type?
@therootedprogress10 ай бұрын
We do prefer the atak over the s-type. We don't mind the extra decibels and provides a much better driving experience at the track. However, if noise is something your concerned with I still recommend the s-type. It's the perfect blend for street yet aggressive when you want it. Just not as loud as the ATAK
@adamv.541510 ай бұрын
As a daily would you still prefer atak over s type?@@therootedprogress
@therootedprogress10 ай бұрын
@adamv.5415 we personally would still prefer the ATAK over the S-Type for daily driving because it sounds great. Decibels are still controllable at cruising speeds. Meaning, it only gets louder if your accelerating. When you hold and maintain a speed, its quiet without drone. We've had the previous generation S-Type prior to the ATAK. And the ATAK we prefer for sure. We also have a video on that as well.

I noticed that you don’t really air down the tires on the trails, which would help more.
@therootedprogress10 ай бұрын
Airing down is always helpful. Depends on the tire and how aggressive you want to go. Light quick trails may not need it.

any plans to add a rear strut tower bar? or similar to keep the back hatch area of the car stiff during uneven obstacles? Even for casual on-road use, a rear strut bar (or X-brace) would keep the rear rigid and minimize creaks and body flexing. Does Crawford make a rear X-brace?

I haven't seen the double apex on the bowl turn. Does it help maintain momentum?
@therootedprogress Жыл бұрын
When running the track ccw, hitting the double apex seems to a faster exit speed out for the corner. Running ccw the bowl gradually sharpens. So felt like when you take it wide (while slowing down) then cut in (2nd apex) allowed us to accelerate through the last part of that corner faster.

You need something to replace the muffler. Having the exhaust end ahead of the rear bumper is muy malo. You are asking for carbon monoxide poisoning. Hard to believe your neighbors tolerate the noise.

Yup we've replaced the muffler. But it never was too loud. Cops never batted an eye at the outback. If this were a frs brz sti wrx.... then That'd be a different story. Overall, it's an outback and people think grandma car. So when they hear anything, it's usually the last car they suspect lol 😆 😂 And yes, we've replaced the muffler now. Thank you for this video. From about 8:00 to about 8:15, the clutch takes a severe beating. This, IMHO, is due to the greatest weakness of the Subaru WRT off-roading: The lack of a low range. There are times when a slow crawl is essential, and that means a low range, especially with a manual transmission. Subscribed.
@therootedprogress Жыл бұрын
No problem. This video definitely shows that it can be done. But does it like it? Most likely not the clutch... I wish subaru brought back their manual dual range trans. @subaruamerica

In all honesty, it hasn't changed much since our initial impressions. Still loud on start up with quick low hum idle, no drone, slightly raspier but still pleasing. Would call it the mature tomeii. All the noise yet still discreet.
