This is one of the best guitar demos I've ever heard. The saying "It's all in the hands" is spot on.

Guitars for rich people who have nothing to tell. Well, it´s a pre war guitar (WW3)

I happen to own this guitar, the Martin D-21, also manufactured in 1965. This guitar here has had some work done, including a replaced fingerboard which appears to be ebony while the original stock fingerboard was rosewood. Also, the added fingerboard inlays are not original, nor are the tuning keys as well. Looking at the headstock with the later Martin label I suspect the neck was replaced. This guitar sounds like mine which is to be expected which also sounds like the D-28s from the same period since the woods used are identical apart from the fingerboard. Tuning keys were different as well with the D-28s coming with Grover tuning keys. The rest were styling differences with the D-21 mirroring the then D-18 styling. The D-21 sold for a little less money but competed with the D-28 which is why it was discontinued since the guitars were virtually identical.

Not every brilliant piece of online guitar playing belongs to Tommy E. This is wonderful and i love the expressions on his face, so pleased and happy and mellow. I bought the tabs a few years back but put them down for other things more in my reach. Time to try this again.

Al is my favourite guitarist, I miss his astounding style of playing. He wasn't frightened to show you some of his guitar tricks and as a result made me a better player. Well done for doing this fitting tribute to him.🤩👍 Ps great playing from Dustin.

The secret to a great amplified acoustic tone: turn the treble control on the preamp all the way down, and then barely bring it up until you just barely hear any high-end. A real acoustic non-amplified, doesn't have treble - or at least not the type a preamp gives. Sometimes a good cut at around 800hz is also a plus. Sounds crazy? At least try it, and get back with me.

I never realised how much of my acoustic journey was subconsciously shaped by Al and his playing. Through all the demos I've listened to and all the pieces he's played over the years. We'll miss you Al! Thanks for doing this great piece justice Dustin!

Lovely guitars! I remember drooling over the pic of this in The 'Sounds Book of the Electric Guitar' in 1980 and have wanted one ever since. I now have a walnut one and a maple one, both bought about 25 years ago and I actually prefer the look of the maple... I guess I'm in the minority! Only problem is the weak pickups, really. I've had a booster installed in both of mine that runs off a battery to give them more oomph, replaced the slippery plastic knobs with gold chrome ones (which also look a lot better) and had the volume controls switched over so that the bridge pickup control is closest to your hand.

First learned of/heard a Henderson in the hands of the winner of the flat-picking contest last weekend in Winfield, Kansas. The oft-used cliché "it's a cannon" was right - the sound guys kept having to roll off the microphone.

We have a lot of awesome guitars come through - this Buendia 00 has something really special about it. Out of the 200 or so choices on hand, Jordan chose this one to play for our video. It's really outstanding, and something of a shop favorite right now. Thanks for your comments!
