Any good guides for knowing when to downshift? Playing this game feels different than real life because there's no clutch.

whenever u want to have more engine brake and faster acceleration (typically before corners, after a crash that slows u down)

On most yellow corners you can just stay in 4th gear (I play a 5speed) and use throttle control and if you hold a good line you can even stay in max gear. Red corners you either go off throttle completely and downshift at the exit of the corner or brake and shift down to 3rd gear mid corner to maintain as much speed. The more you play the more you get the feel of the throttle and how much you need to give it on certain corners. Map knowledge is also pretty key so stay practicing the same 3 or 4 maps in TA, Battles or Ghosts (I recommend C1, Osaka, Kobe and Mt.Taikan). Also stick to 1 car, Hope This helps :)
