Wikipedia says she left Show-Ya as she thought they'd gone mainstream but this is really mainstream. she's a rock singer not a pop singer. I'm glad she realized that and went back to Show-Ya as this is awful.

Actual interviews and such say that just the hard work and stress caught up with her. It was a mental thing. However, in the videos from the solo work, she seems very happy and full of energy. Who knows what the truth is? She also went to help manage her family's construction business after this. Then one day she went to a karaoke bar with a friend, and was asked to do "Genkai Lovers", and she started crying ... and so the story goes. Terada is a versatile singer. The early Show-Ya stuff is full of pop. You should listen to the whole discography from 1985 to 1990. If you don't love the pop stuff, you don't love Show-Ya! You're not right about this tune; it is very much rock. Rock is not all AC/DC, Van Halen, Judas Priest or Stratovarius. Rock is also Doobie Brothers and Eagles, etc. This tune has a classic 70's rock vibe.
