Being a Solo player is so hard, I can barely even get hearts anymore, it feels like the game is FORCING you to be social and make friends in order to actually get things you want ;-; (I am a solo player cuz I prefer to play on my own plus I have horrible social skills 😭) and I am CONSTANTLY doing candle runs just so I can keep up and get cosmetics, they should make it that you get more candles per realm, maybe like 20 candles per realm or more so everyone Can ACTUALLY play at their own pace, take breaks and Actually have FUN instead of feeling pressured to candle run every single day or do it quickly, like video games are meant to be FUN not literally real life…

You can get onto the roof via the wall facing away from the rest of Aviary by placing a stool with the seat facing the wall, or you can go through the floor(beware the loading zone below!) and flying to the clouds behind your nest ^-^

people defending the IAPs is really insensitive. my country in Asia has very very big difference in currency compared to USD. We do not have that much money to be spending it all on games like this, and the currency is very expensive compared to regular American dollars. to them, it is only 20 dollars. for me, this much money can buy me a meal in an expensive fancy restaurant or a 5-10 bottles of milktea boba (or more). it's a big amount, and having so many items become inaccessible is upsetting for me. I am in college too and we barely have time to play, so all the candles only giving very little is upsetting. I spend almost 3-4 hours to do candle run and I would only get 20 candles. but some of the event items are 150 candles. imagine the amount of time we spend on this game instead of studying. it feels tiring. it is not a fun game to chill anymore.

im relatively new to sky (end of 9CD), and i feel like the game bribes me to play, its not fun after doing eden the first time, like i want to collect capes but most of them are unobtainable, overpriced, IAPs, or coast 5 times the amount of candles i have, when i try and point this out to my friend he tells me to play the game more, but i dont want or even have the time to play that much, if there were capes that weren't one color (or two for the trimmed upgrades), and if they were cheaper id have more fun collecting them, like when i see an all black cape (with trim) go for 150 candles i dont see the point, id rather get a ts cape, its probably cheaper, why? i cant say i hate this game, i dont but i also dont like playing a game that by design uses fomo as a weapon, that uses IAPs that are equal to another video game i genuinely could have bought like 2-3 other games with how much ive spent, and i know i chose to go them but i felt like i had to otherwise id never get any non colored capes. the game has 2 main currencies candles and hearts (Ik there are others), one is used to make the other and i put most my candles into hearts thats what the game presents to me as correct. every npc (or most) sell hearts for 3c so now i have no hearts, i got 2 capes (green and... yellow? idr) and no candles or no meaningful amount. i want to like this game, the lore, story and world are beautiful but TCG need to stope treating it like a live service game. i understand IAPs for a free game but not paid seasons, not the forced grinding (which side note, forces some people into just buying candles because is faster and my be intentional. if it is, thats pretty scummy). the way this game presented its self to me as a new player was that i get to customize my skykid all i want as a live and die over and over, but i cand actually customize much. i had 3 unlocked capes after a few weeks of playing. i bought 3 (4?) capes. i hate that so many of the cosmetics are exclusive or unobtainable and not part of a constellation. and i regret what i spent on this game

I am happier when I quit the game. Hate farming candles after a year of doing it daily.

As someone who's played since Light-seekers it's really disheartening to see just how bloated the candle prices have gotten. I don't have the time to candle run anymore and yet I remember when 30 candles was considered expensive. I don't like that Sky economy has reflected the US economy in price raises :( It's becoming harder and harder to recommend the game to my friends because while it is gorgeous they will inevitably want to look into the long term content of the game, and I don't know how to tell them that its literally doing the same thing every single day to get one cosmetic after maybe a week. Aside from the economy and stuff, I like how much more love they've put into the aviary and improving the introduction, but it feels as if TGC's focus is now on cosmetics, money making, player retention etc. and not quality of content (the stupid Forest Door bug has existed since launch, btw, for any new people reading this).

Wow. WOW. Congratulations! They dont even REALIZE that not ALL PLAYERS are adults, there are CHILDREN playing this game. CHILDREN. No way I could spend shit on my mama’s credit card than spending blood, sweat, tears JUST to grind for candles to spend it on the cosmetic I want. TGC, if you dont care for the players that play your game like repricing stuff, you can just let children spend MONEY on their mama’s credit card.
