Its all about definition. Your definition of success differs from others. Masses pushed and pulled to the brink death might feel successful by just getting out of that death hole. Some it may be the corporate ladder or having millions of dollars in the account. For some just being able to share a meal or going back to your home every day might be.. Its all perspective and personal. Generalized version wont do justice to others. ❤

I try not to argue with a liar. There's no winning. I mean in their minds they've always won. In my mind, no one wins when one person refuses to even look at their pattern of evidence. And after listening to this video.. it's really not always that easy.

@@MarcKemp-q6n Valid points. Its not always that easy. These are just ques to help you navigate a difficult situation. Good liars are talented at there deception, but if we can pick up on hints overtime we can atleast get close to confirming our suspicion as apposed to thinking we are crazy that there lies are a figment of our imagination. I'm in my mid 50s and I hate working out - but I had to start because my body was getting stiff. I feel better but it's hard to motivate myself to do it. I think it's related to my testosterone dropping with age. When I was in my 30's it felt physically and mentally pleasurable. That doesn't happen now.

@blind67528 күн бұрын
Hi. I’m an engineer and my be I can clarify a couple of subtitle points: - the internet is (less than) 50 years old, and humans (in their current form) have been around for 10000 years, 200 times more than the internet. We managed to digitalize a lot of information but the proportion of all the information created by humanity is insignificant to what is online. - the new techniques that AI companies are trying are called syntactic data. We use AI-generated data to train future AIs. For me, it doesn't really sound like a stable idea given the high hallucination rate. - the accuracy percent of AI is plateauing. There are more and more papers pointing out that even if we get more data (and energy) the algorithms that we are using will not be able to give us AGI. Turns out that intelligence is not only the ability to process (summarize and search in) large amounts of data. There are also imagination (creative) aspects to being intelligent. Our greatest thinkers were great because they came up with new revolutionary ideas, not because they knew everything. Ironically because they didn't know stuff they found solutions. :)
@Paul.Schriner28 күн бұрын
Thanks @blind675 for adding to the conversation. This is great insight. I appreciate it! The debate... can we create an intelligence that can surpass the human mind is interesting. It seems that in many circles it is inevitable. This is presumptive jumping to a conclusion that is not based. I think the human mind is far more interesting and complex then what many seem to believe and we are only just beginning to understand it. The point you made about our greatest thinkers coming up with revolutionary ideas was spot on. The aha! moment when we have breakthroughs is like a lightening bolt that unlocks the potential solution to the problem. There is something profoundly strange happening in that moment. Something metaphysical yet those are the moments where genius happens and over the course of history pushed humanity forward.

- [ ] Pattern Persistence: Players are shown a rapid sequence of images or shapes, and they must quickly identify emerging patterns. This game simulates subconscious recognition and prediction, strengthening the brain's ability to identify patterns swiftly. - [ ] Emotional Echoes: In this game, players are presented with emotionally-laden scenarios where they must rely on gut feelings to make choices. These decisions are then measured against favorable outcomes, teaching players to harness emotional memory in decision-making. - [ ] Choice Crunch: Players face time-limited decision-making tasks reminiscent of real-life situations that do not allow for reflective analysis. This game enhances the ability to make quick decisions based on accumulated experience. - [ ] Decisive Drills: This segment puts players in high-pressure roles such as a pilot or doctor faced with critical decisions. Simulation feedback guides players on leveraging accumulated knowledge for intuitive choices in professional scenarios. - [ ] Mind Maze: A journey through complex paths where quick decision points dictate the player's path based on instinctual choices, enhancing the prefrontal cortex's role in decision management.

10 000 Years ago - we discovered Genetic Engineering in the broadest sense - creating Domestication and a synthetic TechnoSphere. To Domesticate is to Dominate - with artifical tools and things. The traditional Shaman transforms into a Priest and King and Pharao - to RULE over the world - with artificial means and Terror. Domestication becomes Genetic and the Offspring has no link to its Origins. The Wolf becomes the Poodle on the couch - begging for treats and cuddles... The worst part is to surrender to Psycho Paths, Terrorists, Sadists, Monsters of all sorts - terrified of them and adding to their POWWER... This leads to Self Exticntion - as all those synthetic Civilizations did. “Communication” becomes engineered as a tool to manipulate and abuse - “Honestly expressing myself ” - Bruce Lee - may be the best way to work on...I may be wrong - and I accept to LEARN from my wrongness...

I think many people will realise that the search for meaning is a stupid endevour. Life is inherrently meaningless, evolution is murderous. That's why I am an absurdist. If you see not having to work as a problem, you're just a pawn without agency. Think of all the hours you get to connect and create! Sounds like utopia to me.

I am up for the challenge. Deep down I like the idea too. I didn't talk about this in the podcast but I'm rooting for Ai. I too think it could make for sweet life. The next great evolution of us. I would say I'm an existentialist I believe in the potential of humans... but can see the absurdity in it all as well. Its a fun view point to see life, not take it too serious and be able to laugh at it all. It certainly seems like the meaning of life is an endless rabbit hole.

So what you're saying is that an elaborate vocabulary and the knowledge of when to use which different cuss words is a sign (not proof) of intelligence more than the fact that someone is using a lot of cuss words. And that using cuss words a lot is a sign (not proof) of lower intelligence and societal aggression?

Quick story: 3 girls i worked with would either reguarly give me attitude, talk down to me, be contentious and manipulative if i made simple requests regarding things that made my job difficult and they should be doing anyway, or i could hear them gossiping about me. So finally, I humbled myself and prayed for them. Just ten minutes each until i was overwhelmed with love for each of them. Within the week (been working with them for over a year btw) 2 of them quit without notice or explanation, the other just dropped off the schedule for "school". Jesus is real guys :) Our purpose is to love others as He loves us
