Thats really good. I need to order some quality carabiners and find some wide spread trees to practice on.

Why do you use toggles where you already have carabiners? Not hate bro, just and observation, maybe there is a reason I don't know about.

Are you and all the Commentators on here MENTAL ? That is the most long winded, over engineered, time consuming, procedure I've ever seen for putting a tarp up, in my camping experience of over 40 yrs, or on Y.tube..As for keeping it off the ground I've never seen anyone that has it on the ground anyway ! ! !

Some people just like to do things a certain way🤷♂️but yeah this looks like a bit of a palaver.

@@GG-ml3vr I know, I get that, but look at some of the comments inferring that his method is genius !

@@Chris66able Do you have this tarp? I've seen reviews on this tarp and one major complaint is that it's nearly impossible to get it back into the stuff bag. He doesn't seem to have this problem.....163 likes and 0 dislikes....MENTAL????

I like this for the A-frame set up, but what if you want a diamond set up? Can it be adapted for that?
@jezlawrence720 Жыл бұрын
Set up your diamond somewhere, attach carabiniers at the key anchor points for initial deployment (2 corners and centre tag). Everything after that is just finding a way to fold, and having a way to mark what's folding where (e.g. different coloured carabiniers, maybe some coloured electrical tape around key tags so you know what to take out of what clip in what order. I can't see a way for *none* of the diamond to touch the floor initially, but it would be minimal.

I tried to wrap some up around the fingers as you showed,, But I think I cut my piece little too long,, I realized AFTER that it has measured marks on it,, mine stated at 1460-1516,,, meaning it's Approx 56 '. ? I think.. which is quite a thick roll when done wrapping it up but not too bad for 1st try. Looking forward to other vids you have for us.

TY, my son came home with a huge spool of this " Mule Tape" that he came across. Neither of us knew really what else it could be used for besides pulling wires etc. I looked up MT on here and your video actually looked the most interesting out of all others. I'm trying to think of other ways to use it if camping, bushwhacking, or just around the house/yard. I have 5 yr old Twin Great Grandsons who have more energy than the sun.. Maybe I can devise some kind of climbing ladder or something to keep them off Nana's new furniture,, as they jump/leap/cartwheel through the air from piece to piece of furniture.. LOL. Just getting into the thought of learning bushcraft. Really love the bag and the way you organized it all. I would suggest you share some of your resources and if you have it, an affiliate link. Obviously can't replace the stuff you made... I would be interested in purchasing some of your makes like your bag and I bet there are others out there as well that would. Great stuff. No frills.

very good ideas... just got me a D D tarp and I am going to incorporate your setup into mine with the s hooks that hold up to 5 pounds a piece. Just have not had the best results from those carabiners holding up over time. Thanks for sharing your process. I have helped set up one of these before and I liked it but it is a difficult situation to try and handle on your own and keep it from the ground at the same time.
