Why thank you! Such a sweet comment. I will say I won't be doing videos with inversions. There is so much nuance in an inversion and it is so easy to get hurt when done incorrectly, I only teach them in person when I have a student over a long period of time and can build strength and alignment awareness. I do have more tutorial videos coming, thought so stay tuned!

True.. There isn't much information on menopause. Thank you for tackling the topic and for the practical advice. One of the key things I learned from your video is that inflammation, among other things, is tied to menopause. I've always been in good health but the last few years have been tough. In some ways, the medical profession has done more harm than good.

Agreed about the medical profession. I definitely can imagine how hard it is to stay on top of literally everything if you are a family practice physician, but OB/GYN should know what they’re talking about! I hope the information about inflammation helps.

It's not that people are too inflexible for yoga, it's that yoga instruction is very rarely targeted for the inflexible! Without realizing it, many instructors run off the inflexible. "Modify as needed" is TOTAL BUNK without specific modifications shared with the same enthusiasm as instruction for the flexible.

I completely agree. I don't feel like Yoga is "taught" as much anymore. It's just led - there are instructors not teachers. I will also add that I wanted to point out in this reel that if someone feels they are "too inflexible for yoga", their reason is erroneous - that has nothing to do with Yoga. The uber-flexible representation nowadays leads people to believe it. Over 30+ years of teaching Yoga, it's the number one reason why people tell me they can't do Yoga!

With an emphasis on youthful female bodies and a hierarchical class structure, I am considered a "beginner" even though I have taken many yoga and movement classes and have a deep understanding of my body, its beauty, limitations, and energies. I think this is part Western culture and part young instructors not being able to teach beyond their own body experiences and abilities. Very frustrated! I have the best of intentions, but then I get overwhelmed by symptoms, life, demands, etc. Just to gently correct you...I believe the amount of recommended protein is based on IDEAL body weight, not necessarily your current weight. (Not that I do it correctly myself🙄)♥️🇨🇦

Oh, you are SO RIGHT about the protein. Thank you! And it's so challenging. I find ONE THING at a time so powerful AND to do it in increments. "I'll do one thing for 2 weeks" because it's easier for our brains to commit to that. Then my goal is to enjoy how I feel so it's easy to keep it going. thanks so much for your comment!

Loved this Lauren. Thank you. ❤ It Makes so much sense. I’ve battled long and hard too. For many years tho as I also have some other major hormone stuff as well as CFS and Fibro. I’ve learned My cortisol is def the biggest problem for me. My Belly is my nemesis 😅 So I’ve been working on that with sleep patterns etc. and eating more. So hearing all this from you has solidified it for me. I want to just be strong enough for a walk and resistance training. So that’s my constant goal. I’ll be following along now for your other content too. And to see how you are. I Loved the message of support too. So in Sending so much love and strength to you too. You’re doing great too 😘
