I printed this out for my Ascent and like it. Do you have any issues with the servo mounts catching on the frame when articulating,in the shock positions this body requires ? Maybe because I run my shocks without the springs they compress more and catch. If I mount the shocks vertical I don’t have catching issues but they don’t fit under the hood. I’ll fiddle with it, but thought I’d ask. Thanks for the print!!
@ciborg866 күн бұрын
@@BrettB-n1s the servo mounts bottom out on the frame when shocks are in furthest back position. I still prefer this position, which is why modified the body this way. This is known as I’ve seen it in review videos. I’ve never had it get caught, just bottom out. This happens regardless of the body. I’ve seen some videos where they took a grinder to the servo mounts to add travel, but I’ve never done this. Thanks for commenting. Glad you like the body!

I'm so glad, that I found your channel! I will buy my first Rc crawler and I choose, to be Ascent-18. Your upgrades videos will definitely help me whit the build. 🤘 What do you think, can this truck have a potential to be a Comp rig whit Brushless motor, different electronic and of course more upgrades? Greetings from Greece!

@@diavolo031sp welcome to the hobby! You will be very happy with the Adventure 18 for sure. I’ve only done a few comps, so am not an expert, but I’ve seen them comped. Like everything else it has its pros and cons for comping. For example, I think the portal axles hold it back on side hills as compared to my SCX24s. It’s just easier to tip as it sits higher. Conversely, it has better center clearance so is less likely to hang up on obstacles. Either way, it is a great rig and very durable. Thanks for your comment. You made my day!
