Gary, I’m sure you remember that Guy N. Woods correctly stated we are not to pray for one to be forgiven who does not confess his sin. Failure to confess our sins is the “sin unto death.” Brother Woods was comparing 1 John 5:16 with James 5:16
@SonOfGodphotography18 күн бұрын
I didn’t know I was in sin when I was chasing the things of the world to be successful and to become financially free. I didn’t want to have a 9 to 5 job that I hated so I worked and saved my money and bought property and lived off the rental income and quit the job. This led to me indulging in the flash a lot more because I had a lot of free time and I was doing that anyway impressing girls and I would collect classic Schwinn stingray bicycles and had a very nice apartment. I like to show off and I felt as though I was better in comparison to how I was and how people usually and they go to a job that they hate just to pay bills but here I was doing what I loved and traveling and I think that is why I ended up losing those things. That was 10 years ago, but I am still in depression over it so I don’t think my heart has changed either. I really want those things back and I enjoyed that lifestyle.

I remember brother Jimmy Allen preaching this story at the Wilshire Blvd church of Christ back in the early 1960s Of course he quoted from memory the entire text. After hearing that sermon on "What is Hell Like?" I too committed these sacred verses to memory as a young teen.
@garymcdade3402Ай бұрын
I too heard brother Jimmy Allen preach that sermon "What is Hell Like?" but it was on a cassette tape. My husband Gary and I lived in Rota, Spain when we heard it. Gary was in the U.S. Navy and started preaching while we lived in Rota because the small congregation of the Lord's church that met on base didn't have a preacher and had been listening to cassette tapes of sermons. After preaching for about a year he told me he wanted to go to college and be a fulltime preacher. I didn't want him to because I knew that most preachers were very poor and had to move so much. Then I heard that tape of Jimmy Allen's "What Is Hell Like" and I told him, "YOU HAVE TO PREACH!" So here we are 50 years later and he is still preaching. He shares the pulpit with our son and grandsons and is on television and radio through out the Chattanooga area several times a week. SADLY THOUGH brother Jimmy Allen left the faith and for many years before he died preached that hell does not exist. Thanks for your comment. --sheila PS I just noticed you are philOKC . . . are you Phil Robins? If so, I think you already know all this! lol

The Sabbath was indeed given to all humanity, before there was a nation of Israel and before there was a Jew. This is stated in the old and new testaments. See Hebrews 4:3-6. "There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God". Hebrews 4:9

YHWH loves His people, Yisrael. Of course, He hates all sinners. PS 11:5 YHWH examines the righteous, but the wicked and those who love violence His Nephesh hates. PR 6:16 There are six things YHWH hates, seven that are abominable to Him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers. MAL 1:2 "I have loved you," says YHWH. "But you ask, `How have You loved us?' Was not `Esav brother of Ya`aqob?" YHWH says. "Yet I have loved Ya`aqob, but `Esav I have hated, and I have turned his mountains into a wasteland and left his inheritance to the desert jackals." He won't even listen to you, as a sinner. JN 9:30 The man answered, "Now that is remarkable! You don't know where He comes from, yet He opened my eyes. We know that 'Elohiym does not listen to sinners. He listens to the pious man who does His will. Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a man born blind. If this Man were not from 'Elohiym, He could do nothing." Do you people ever believe your own bibles? Too busy claiming to be 'saved sinners,' right.

Precious Memories Gary. I have you to thank for recommending I join the Gospel Advocate Book Club back in 1974 when we were stationed together at Naval Station Rota, Spain. These hard copy jewels began my own library of books, including all of Foy E. Wallace’s books. Queta and I just returned from a lengthy visit to Rota and I can report the Spanish church, which you helped establish, is stronger than ever. They send their salutes to you and Sheila. Phil

Bonaface Il was the first pope, beginning in 532 with the image of the beast at the sametime the New Testament church fell away because of the elders speaking perverse things to draw away the disciples after them. The image of the beast ending in 536 when the catholic DarkAges began, lasting until 1453 on May 29, when the Turks sacked Constantinople, the first time gun powder was ever used in a largescale war. Renaming it lstanbul, ending the VolcanicWinters, or, Catholic DarkAges, a century before bibles were given back to the people, restoring education after a thousand years without either.

If everything is found in the Bible, where I can find in the Bible the list of the books should belong in the Bible especially the New testament? And how do you know that's the rigth list of them? How we can be able to know if we missing some books or we have to many books? Anybody should ask you selfs this question if you or anybody have the answers, answer them that would be a big help!
