I always find it interesting that anyone can see what they gave up, but no one seems capable of seeing what they WILL give up BEFORE starting down the path of betrayal. Hindsight, 20/20, and all that I guess.

Sad that bad things happen to some people, it’s always hard to know when you are overreacting and when the signs really are signs. But never let that stop you from knowing life is amazing. And that most people do find love and don’t get the mess of tension.

My take on this story... OP was wrong to go digging into the past and bringing it up... unfair to the uncle who was trying to atone for his past and do right. it would've been different if it were something much more damaging... geez, OP should've left it be til the uncle was prepared and ready to get it out there himself. Like they say... "what's in the past is the in the past you can not undo or change it now... let it go."

This story is SO fake. I have no doubt parents like this exist, but how many promotions has this guy gotten? At this point I'm surprised he hasnt been promoted to senior God yet. This reads like a someone's creative writting short story.

wtf a career-focused upper management lady needs a check from her aunt to "break free" from her family? surely you'd think that no matter the hardships she's facing in her personal life she would at least be qute well off financially speaking tl;dr this story smells of fake and gay
