Oh yeah, I’m guessing it’s the reason my trick for my old swim team worked. They all complained that it was too cold, so I told them to get their head in immediately. The only other trick was to get in and start swimming immediately, which worked better but was rarely possible.

I love ice baths, it’s got incredible health benefits and makes you feel alive, but it’s not very good for muscle growth so I haven’t had one in a good while now

I found that when it first gets cold, shower and then drive around with your windows open and the heat on. Cold enough that your head if freezing and then rest and relax. You just acclimated yourself for the winter

Health benefits but research on this is extremely limited. However, lots of athletes and chronic pain suffers swear by this whereas others don’t think it does much.

@@lordparoose48 probably sudden change in temperature everywhere except your head. If I know what I'm talking about, it causes blood to focus on the cold spots and less blood will be in your head. Hope that made sense and is somewhat correct, lol

How long does the 300 keep a barrel water at certain temp for without a chiller just ice if it’s 60-80 degrees outside? Trying to understand the insulation.

How long your ice bath will stay cold depend heavily on your climate, air temperature and starting water temperature. The thick polyurethane foam insulation throughout the barrel and lid helps keep your water colder for longer, especially in warm weather.

I'm off for supporting people, but your dad should not tell you what to do or give you ultimatum. Yes, there is a different thing, lingering and not working out in a gym. But your dad should be more supportit's good. Some people are motivated in different ways. But as long as you're at the gym better than on the streets II respect people like you, Brook, people that work out it does take a lot. Man or woman determination comes in different forms and shapes.❤
