How long do TPMS last on T&C's usually? Can someone let me know? I am trying to determine whether I should replace them at next tire service or not.
@KensDIYandHowTo2 күн бұрын
@@tommason5689 I would only replace them if they go bad.

@@KensDIYandHowTo Thanks for quick reply. How long did it take for them to go bad on yours?
@KensDIYandHowTo2 күн бұрын
@tommason5689 In the past when I bought the cheap ones (not from a tire shop) around 2 to 3 years. If you buy them from a reputable shop, they use higher quality sensors that should last around 5 to 7 years.

Ya but you have to be careful if you don't know what your doing you can really mess up the floofs with a drum stripped.

Yes, I used microwave to unthaw them before I Kung food them in the pan.
@cobyup1013 күн бұрын
@KensDIYandHowTo I was just giving you a hard time. Thawing is when frozen stuff heats up and returns to room temperature. So unthawing would be the opposite of thawing, which would be freezing. Thaw is the word you're looking for. 👌

Replacing valve cover and oil pan gaskets, rear main, front main seal, and timing cog seals or timing chain cover gaskets is a sure fire way to stop oil leaks. As for coolant leaks, replace water pump, thermostat housing gasket, and radiator cap. As for ATF leaks it’s transmission main seals and ATF pan gaskets. Rear differential is the diff cover gaskets. Also replacing control arm bushings will greatly improve ride quality on older vehicles.

Tin square? How does it go around shaft? Wouldn’t have to be round like a washer with a hole in it?
@KensDIYandHowTo2 ай бұрын
@JannyLeigha It doesn't go around the shaft. It goes on the flat part. It's kind of like a wedge on top of the spindle it's where the flat part of the pin goes as well.

Manufacturer instructions says to mount hanger strip 1" below doors not floor.
@KensDIYandHowTo3 ай бұрын
@goaheadmakeourdayscooterpe9644 That's pretty much where I mounted it. As I said in my video, it was about 1" below the doors. Maybe it doesn't look like it because of the camera angle. It actually ended up about 2" below the subfloor.

I forgot to mention the reason why I just wanted to add a Transmission Cooler is because that's what failed. The AC condenser / transmission cooler is one piece. And I did not want to mess with the AC! It's working well, so why mess with it :) I did the easy thing first. Someday when the AC condenser fails I may hook it back up when I have to replace the stock unit, we'll see. Also I forgot to mention behind the #10 machine screws are nylon lock washers. The 3/4" aluminum L style "tube" is 1/8" thick. It added the rigidity I wanted since I did not want to mess with the zip ties that came with the kit. They are supposed to go through the radiator grills and I didn't want to break anything. I wanted it all easily accessible and replaceable.

How much weight total for both ramps do they hold?
@KensDIYandHowTo6 ай бұрын
About 800lbs each ramp, so that would be 1600 total. That's for the 5' ramps. The 4' ramps are rated at 1000lbs each so 2000 total.
