Was his suspicion of Rodolpho just wanting to marry Catherine for papers not valid? I mean, if you've been around long enough, you know that opportunists are out there and are pretty damn good at lying about the shit they want. Seems short-sighted to expect someone who was born in the 1910s and lived through the great depression to not be suspicious if a man who's after the niece he raised is competent for the nature of the work required to make a living, which at that time was majorly physical. While the points mentioned in the video are valid, it is clear that Rodolpho is not necessarily physically proficient in his work on the waterfront.
