Why is this in A minor? Isn’t it supposed to be in g minor?
@docdoc4 жыл бұрын
I do not know. Are you saying Bream is playing it in G minor or that the original was written in G minor? The sheet music I have of this piece as well as the writing on the CD covers all say Fugue in A minor.
@Scriabin_fan4 жыл бұрын
@@docdoc The original violin piece is in g minor, from Bach's first violin sonata
@docdoc4 жыл бұрын
@@Scriabin_fan then I suppose it was moved to A minor for the guitar, as probably as it is more playable like that on the guitar.
@Scriabin_fan4 жыл бұрын
@@docdoc that makes sense.

Talking about baroque and early music overall they were just as bad lol. You can't blame them anyway they were musicians of their time deep study into the styles was not there at all back then you just had your style and played everything on that nevermind if it was early music or romantic.
@kingcrimsonshow75267 жыл бұрын
The music of the baroque was very sophisticated. Of all the composers of the era, Bach brought science out of the music he has written and then blended it with passion. As a result Composers study his music to this day. Bad? I think not.
@SH4D0WBattousai7 жыл бұрын
Bach had no knowledge of science or whatsoever he was a master composer and nothing more. Calling his creative works science is merely a smobby statement as implying something masterful is involved with science in some way lol. Science is facts, study of one's reality and that's not what artists do they have creative process that doesn't necesarily involve science or facts.
@kingcrimsonshow75267 жыл бұрын
But then Bach was much more than an artist. He was also a theorist and an explorer of harmony. He explored harmony much more deeply than other composers of the time There is an intellectual component to Bach, a logic, that fascinates musicians. There is more mathematics in his work than science. I meant science as an expression.

most likely newday purists lol. I find this version quite bad but I wouldn't unlike the video for respect to the artist, it was just the way it was played on his time, judging a past performer on present day standards is not accurate.

I used to think certain styles were better or harder than others, but I find it's not true. Even though jazz is harmonically more difficult than rock, but some of those guys never nail the sound of a true rock guitarist. Every style has its virtues, even though some I don't like...
