There is a line in between the lyrics, ‘I think if I disappeared tomorrow, the universe wouldn’t really notice’. My God! That is so deep and has a last moments of life kind of feel to it. Reminds me of my depressed years 2018-20. Glad I managed to pull those years off and here I am typing this after recently discovering this wonderful song. I remember keeping on listening to O.M.G.I.M.Y and hoped someone would come and finally pick me up from where I were. Nobody came😂😂

Of all of the reactions I have seen to this video, you are the first person to say anything about him going back and trying again. Yes! Finally!!!

When you said "This is music I could die to", I found it interesting because I always think I want to listen to The Offering on my deathbed.

It's kind of crazy that they'd think that far ahead, but you asked about the end of the song. Being that it's actually the end of the album, if you listen to this ending and then begin play of Chokehold, the first song of their next album that came out several years later, that sorta resonating static distortion sound is how Chokehold begins. It's like a bridge across the albums.

You should have just followed the album order when reacting. This is meant as the end. Fin. Tribute if you will. Call backs to many songs .

looking for what you want in bmth is useless they do everything whenever they feel like it all the time you might as well like everything if theyre gonna have hardcore and pop stuff come out simultaneously

Lyrics are certainly heavy, but many of their songs are. Idk about the other members but Joel really struggles with depression/ thoughts of suicide so it isn't necessarily a surprise. I guess we should be thankful that he shares his wrestling with his demons in such a badass way. This is their best album in 9-10 years imho!

I think this was something different from them which shows they are more then just screaming all the time. I love when they are heavy don’t get me wrong but a true artist try’s different things to show they are more than what they are already known for and I feel this was catchy and good!

Imagine this song as a wrestlers theme. Flashing strobes at the beginning in a completely dark arena and the lights go out completely as the “and only death” kicks in in utter silence and then the chorus kicks and the wrestler comes out.

The last bit is actually loosing connection to the Mariana trench.the whole album for missing limbs has numbers corresponding to different depths.this was the last song-the lowest depth.the deepest thing that hits home for the singer.

Sleep Token the only band that can take me from sniffling tears to club dancing to moshing to stankface hairbanging and all the way back again within the span of a single song. Also the only band that can make me write really long sentences without the need for a comma? Wtf.

This song is exactly like Sleep Token lol, they're a genreless experience through and through. The ending (the noise part) is to signal that the story isn't over. The three albums that they've released (Sundowning, This Place Will Become Your Tomb, and Take Me Back to Eden) are a trilogy - each album tells part of the story.
