I love seeing Joyce “Fenderella” Irby still doing what she loves. Regina Troupe on the Keytar has been playing with some variation of the band for 20+years and that includes performing with Joyce, Bernadette and Lorena years back. Much respect. 🎶 💜

A combination of bad acoustics and Sunny's deteriorating voice really killed this performance.

I moved to Huntington Beach from the valley in 1975….was going through a divorce and rented an apartment in a small complex. Luis was going through a similar experience and was my neighbor in the complex. One time when he saw me carrying a guitar case he inquired if I was a professional and it turned out we we working several miles apart in Huntington Beach. We became close friends after that and he would come out and sit in with us in many occasions. Both me and our band’s drummer dug listening to his stories in the business. One time we were working at a hotel in LA and a timbale player sat in with our group and happened to have a picture of Luis when he was working with El Machito in 1948. I never bothered to look him up because I heard he moved to Miami.
