For sure the challenge of professionalism inside the home is key. Every installer has their own style when it comes to setting up their work area. Building a company standard method is the way to go but a challenge when it comes to keeping clean and respecting clients property.

Agree. Always been a big fan of "Nothing of theirs, touches anything of ours" as a company policy. Keeps it simple and the company reinforces that by providing booties, blankets, protection, etc. and making that policy non-negotiable.

That feeling when you roll into a home for a service call for an AV problem, and the client asks you to change a Panasonic KSU extension number or phone label and you don't have a laptop with an RS232 port with you because they haven't existed in 5 years...

What's your take on showrooms? No joke, we've been all over and talked to a lot of dealers and there are some strong opinions on both sides. Big waste of money vanity project, or valuable sales and training tool?

I'm partial to the elk in the car, just for the subtle warping of the logo on the elk's hindquarters.

Slagging my laptop by recording four simultaneous streams was worth it, even if we did miss the end and had to do the old "Irish Goodbye". It's a good recap of the show and what happens behind the scenes on the Rep side.

Josh is good. But until it can do sensors it’s not a true control system
@olivermarketingCI2 ай бұрын
Alarm system integration for Josh is imminent and will use the sensors as inputs to the system. Doesn’t seem like a stretch to say once that mechanism is in the software, more and “alarm-independent” sensors will follow. They’re also showing some pretty slick video analysis, where Josh can describe what’s going on in a video feed. Again, hard to imagine that kind of thing wouldn’t translate into actionable data points…

@@olivermarketingCI well I guess this core I bought to sit on top of c4 may be worth it.

Just found this channel - great content. Currently converting everything from Control4 to Josh in my system (18 zones audio, 10 zones video, etc). So far so good. Only issues at present are integration with StormAudio processors and some advanced features to trigger Kaleidescape scenes similar or better to those with C4 Kaleidescape drivers I use/setup in Home Composer. Going back to watch and learn more on your chennel!

Me too. I love that they’re putting Bluesound into so many products across the lines and making it accessible.

Can’t wait to get my hands on some of these. The Icon looks crazy. Probably more streamer than I need, which is just enough

This is a great format, love the interaction. So much better than a talking head reading off a set of slides. This topic was very insightful and I appreciate the different perspective on the consultive sales process.
