Ce jazz N.O. est immortel malgré les vagues successives de musiques d'aujourd'hui, electro, rock, métal etc. Dommage qu'es médias et producteurs d'aujourd'hui sont aux abonnés absents

Ken Colyer's tone is pretty bad here. I suppose that he wasn't playing often by 1981.

The trombone player sounds the same, I thought jazz players prefer that kind of sound?is it perhaps not what the trumpet playing is doing as well. Sorry I don’t play jazz, but the sound is more clear on for example classical/hymn side of brass.

Alan Gresty tpt, Mickey Ashman bass, Geoff Downes dr, Barry Dew bjo. Not sure who is on trombone. Mostly regulars with Monty's band at that time.

I was lucky to listen to Ken and of course to Monty Sunshine's Band in 1974 in London. Unforgettable - Fantastic reunion in 1994 with Chris Barber and his original 1954 line-up with Monty, Pat, Lonnie, Chris, Ron and Jim in Zurich.... I still have that sound in my ears!

Whatever the pros and cons of the internet, thank goodness it allows us to enjoy this music today despite the decreasing numbers of such good bands and the loss of musicians such as Ken and Monty. How sad that they can't bequeath their talent to others as they leave us
