Been listening to You Tube presentations on CVI for hours. Your presentation was consise, well organized, at a level for easy understanding, and gave me new information not previously provided. I am old, have CVI complicated by heart failure and lymphodema. Saw my second Vascular Surgeon last week, the first years ago and not helpful, and wish I'd seen your video first. It helped put into perspective what I received from that second doctor and her ultrasound. It help me in determining my treatment direction.

Thank you. This was so informative and easy as a vascular patient to understand. Or mostly that is. I'm 47 with a 4 year history if battling PAD. Wounds, amputation, infections, but I believe I also have venous disease & I'm not certain it's being treated, but it also have a lot if they symptoms of vasculitis. I say that I'm not certain I'm being treated for venous disease is that it's not been mentioned & some of the symptoms are not bring treated. Or not very well anyway. I wish you were closer to Maine! 😂😢😂❤

what if the EMG results come back negative? Does that mean vascular TOS and not neurogenic TOS>?
@issou37003 ай бұрын
No. EMG is useless but they still don't understand. You have to do Dynamic Doppler ultrasound and dynamic MRI (Dynamic = in the position that triggers the symptoms) and then, you'll find out if you have a tos. Static exams like EMG are most of the time useless.

You are really smart! Your presentation was a little hard for an average lay person like me, but I really did learn a lot. I hope I can ind a vascular doctor as knowledgeable as you. I live in Sarasota, Fl. Do you know any one here like you?

i had a popliteal anurism, with a blood clot inside of it, right behind my knee, the surgeon took an artery from my upper thigh to use as a bypass, but it didn,t work, so they used an artificial artery or man made artery, that has worked, apparently after its been in the leg so long, (which in my case is nearly 4 year,s) the body sort of make,s the new artery its own. & grows tissue over it & the blood coats the inside of it. The nurse that used to come to my home to change the dressings etc,after my operation, took the stitchs out too early & after me telling her that i think it mite split open, she asured me that it wouldn.t, but she had only been left my house about 5mins & it all split open, so i phoned her & she said she would come right back. But she didn.t return, so after i waited for about 2 hr,s i ended up back in hospital where they had to put a vacume dressing on that sucks the fluid out of the leg, (cos my whole leg was twice its size with the swelling, that took age,s to go, & because of that nurse, i still have fluid leaking from my leg.. If i.ve been on my feet all day. That i have to try to reduce by wearing compression stockings, but i keep getting small varicose ulcer,s that are difficult to get healed up again, if they get sore & angrey i pour salt directly onto the ulcer. It stings to high heaven but it drys it up & brings it to a scab, which when it does this i can put up with the stinging, i worry every day that i mite lose a leg, or even worse both legs, but after i.ve met & spoke & also watched other people that i know get about with prosthetic legs, i dont know why i worry, cos its marvelous to see them walk normaly wearing false legs, & one guy i know has both legs off above the knees, & he has 2 false legs that he can walk about just about anywhere & not even needs to use a walking stick, cos ending up in a wheelchair & house bound, is my biggest fear, & i would try every minute of every day to get up & walk, cos i just wouldn.t give up & sit in a wheelchair, cos i.d rather be dead than live like that,

Lol asking for advice on KZbin is dicey at best. Google what vascular surgeon does this type of procedure. There are EKOS and penumbra procedures that are just as effective.
