Honey man Scott guitar player one of the best of his generation. His work on the first two records speaks for itself - the band never came close to it again. Side note - Johnny Marr looked up to him - and after his death joined the Pretenders on tour and recorded two tracks with them - one of them being the Burt Bacharach song WINDOWS of the WORLD.

Jimmy Destri (keyboards) wrote some of their finest songs in the 1970s, 1980s and when they reformed in the late 90s until he left in the 00s. He is a brilliant musician and lyricist. Debbie sings this song with such conviction that you can imagine her in the morning, in her overcoat, walking down the hall looking for the door! 😎

The stage of the Legend MM show by Kami Band was much closer to the girls and they even had an introduction to some songs.

No name for the fan base that I've heard, but I've heard the members referred to as "the Blondies" since the beginning. Yes, Jimmy is a great lyricist and musician.

You should check out "You can't put your arms around a memory" by Johnny Thunders. ...and probably the Jim Carroll Band song "People who died" both sorta in this vein(!) There's also the Gwar - AV Club live perormance - watch the whole thing + read the wiki on GWAR + the passing of Oderus. GWAR of all bands, their version legit makes me teary. I really dig this song, suits the scorching sun/evening/smoke/vibe ;) I should dig this album out.

THE years of Decay, Horrorscope, and Ironbound are probably their best albums. The Years of Decay holds a special place in my heart, as it was basically the soundtrack that played out my junior and senior years of high-school. If you want chunky riffs, you'll love the song Skullkrusher. A slower, heavy, brutal song. And now I'm off to listen to it. Cheers mate

Although I totally agree about the necessity of giving the Kami Band more visibility (on Blu-ray footage), there are two things to mention on this particular video: - This is a music video not a live video. So, it has the studio audio and what we hear here is not the Kami Band. - We need to understand the stage setup of the BABYMETAL Returns shows: a sort of catwalk in central position crossing the entire venue (the Makuhari Messe is a huge convention center, not an arena) with two moving platforms (roombas) as main stages and the band placed in one of the extremes of the central line. Luckily, the next big shows (BABYMETAL Begins and Legend-MM) are way better about showing the Kami Band properly... again on Blu-ray footage. If someone wants to see the band all the time they can just go to a concert in person. 🤨

They used to see kami band more because stages were small...This is a huge stage and as you can see they were on a moveable platform. The Kami band were on another platform. I saw them fine cause i was at this concert...

There is nothing in the movie that suggests Jimmy ever sexually assaulted anyone and he's not at all abusive to girls. Rape is a powerful word, but I think the idea of the lyric is that when Jimmy is out of his head, "When I'm pilled you don't notice him. He only comes out when I drink my Gin!", He is capable of anything. He'll fight anyone, bet on anything, take drugs, and get any girl he wants. "Jimmy has been through so much teenage Sturm und Drang, and he’s finally reached the end of his rope. He doesn’t care about anyone or anything, and isn’t thinking or acting straight. Jimmy isn’t really saying he wants to rape another guy’s girlfriend (virgin or not), he’s saying he’s legitimately out of control and needs help."

Good reaction. Great Song. Glad you weren't impressed by that illogical comment from Komander6069. Makes me smh when people judge an entire act on the song they are listening to at that moment in time. The guy's opinions are from a contextless vacuum. How are metal kingdom, divine attack, miror miror, maya, monochrome or metalizm pop? even time wave isn't pop, it's EDM. Light and darkness has more in common with a classical string music than it has a pop song. The entire album is the opposite of 'commercial'. A kawaii free album from a group most famous for being kawaii? TOO was a big risk for them to take, thank the Fox God they took it. If Babymetal ever do go commercial, fans will be the first to call them out for it.

Good reaction. People complaining in the comments about not seeing the Kami Band should go to the concerts, of course they are on the stage. 🙄 What they are seeing here is the official music video and the cameras will be focused on the girls (they are BABYMETAL after all - plus official MV without 'Live' in the title, it is the studio audio, so it isn't the Kami Band they are hearing anyway) and the videos and BluRays are filmed at the big arena concerts with the elaborate moving stages etc. This was at Makuhari Messe - there were two main stages at either side of the arena - they had thrones on one, the Kami Band were on the other. Connecting the two main stages was a walkway running right across the arena and on the walkway were two moving stages that travelled from one side to the other - and the girls spent most of the concert on one of those small moving stages. The cameras focused on the girls, the Kami Band didn't get much (any) camera time .... but the people at the concerts could see them perfectly well. In smaller venues around the world the Kami Band and the girls are all there on the same stage.
