Not a bad re-creation of the band Cactus! I saw the original Cactus in 1970 a few months after the release of there first record. Then again in 1971 after the One Way Or Another record. The biggest difference, was McCarty's guitar playing, his tone, and improv on most of the songs. He had such a UNIQUE sound, that was praised by Ted Nugent, who would 've about Jim McCarty's playing. and of course you just can't replace Rusty Day. The original band was an opening act for Hendrix and Led Zeppelin, in which they were told after a few shows, they were fired. REASON??? They were just so damn good! This Rhythm section is just so hard to beat! With McCarty, the Band was actually a 3 piece with a singer. Even Hendrix was heard saying how can this Band sound this big and powerful. They destroyed the stage back in the day. You left exhausted from all the energy they poured out!!

Looks like Ronnie is playing an original 'burst !!!! Back then it was considered a tool for the trade. These days, it's purchased for investment purposes.

Montrose played a show at Cal Poly SLO in 1976. The show was sold out, but hundreds of fans from the valley came over anyway thinking they could get tickets. When they discovered that they couldn’t, they rioted outside the gym, breaking some large plate glass windows. Montrose played on through the carnage.

Way back in the 90s I was sitting in a near empty club on Broadway in downtown Nashville when this super short and wide near blind cat walked in carrying a guitar case and a Fender amp. The Bartender said he was the newest hottest guitar slinger fresh in town from Maine. To my deep regret we left before he began playing. THIS is THAT GUY!

God you are amazing but Ronnie was a rhythm machine! A look down upon 59’ Les Paul standard and 4 Fender tweed deluxes🤤🤤🤤🤤🤤that’s what your trying to achieve with them Marshall’s and it’s not working ehhhh? It’s a thing called voltage
