Gearbox is fine just make sure the gearbox, diffs and final drives have been serviced when they need to be. They’re additional items so even some main dealers forget to do them. Every 40k or 6 years for the gearbox if I’m not mistaken. Same for the rear diff. Front final drive is every 20k miles. My 2014 RS4 is coming up to 80k miles and has been good as gold. Just don’t compromise on the maintenance! Good luck!

hey bro i just got a 2013 rs5, it has the sport exhuast option from factory. Would an ecs x pipe make it noticably louder or does it mostly change its tone?

mb late reply, yes considerably louder. Check out my before and after on my channel. Keep the valves tho, to reduce drone on low rpms.

It doesn't because it has the stock sport exhaust in the rear that has the valves on. It's about as quiet as the stock exhaust with the resonator when the valves open in Dynamic mode. Meaning, very quiet with a purr. Valves off its a different animal. Thats why its recommended with NA engines to have valves on so it doesn't drone inside. Another reason is because the RS5 are very heavily insolated on the inside so the sound you hear mostly inside is from the front in the engine, not under where the resonator is at.

Actually in Canada roads are paid for with general taxes. Gas taxes are used to subsidize transit and goes into general taxes. A cyclist actually takes up much less room than you and actually helps mitigate traffic quite dramatically in cities. In fact roads were made for horse and carage and bicycles. The automobile came along later. Cyclists are just as entitled to use a road as you are. Also, Nonsuch thing as bike lane rules. Bicycles don't need to use the bike lane and are actually encouraged by ICBC ( the insuser in the province this video was taken) to take a full lane if they feel safer doing so. I hate to say it bud, but you just don't know what you're talking about.

And over here in BC we have ICBC Billions go into that "general tax" fund But 2+billion is handed out each year for road maintenance Most of that fund is from the fuel taxes and carbon taxes. Yes it gets allocated in many different areas. But the fact is insurance companies and fuel companies pay their big portions in this viscous cycle we call society. I think you got a lil more reading to do

@@rs5_photography_4.2 no rasp at all mate what you mean and there’s 3 valve position modes. X pipe sounds very raspy and hallow. A full catback is what the rs5 deserves.

@@tylerevans2261I heard it in person, it's way to loud and raspy. This has the optional sport exhaust that is a full cat-back system and the xpipe really just brings it to how it should've sound in stock. No rasp! My smartphone just can't record the nice sounds!

Sorry just saw this. Its to warm up the cats in the downpipes. Once you drive around a bit and warm it up its gone. Its a common thing coming from factory searched on the forum and everywhere. Because I went in for diagnostics and it wasn't any issue relating to timing chain. You can check other exhaust set ups they all have them. Since the sport exhaust on B8.5 is different from the B8 RS4 you would not hear it from there. Also the engine is a little different from RS4 and B8 RS5 but thats a different story.

depends on what u filmed with, mine was a potato samsung note 20, so your experience may vary, it blasts my ear about as much as a shelby gt350 if you would stand in the back
