Thank you, Father, for this homily. My sister Debby said today she has been listening to your homilies. She said when she is really down, you have brought her out of her distress. I told her I felt the same way. Kristi says you are feeling much better. We have been praying for you

Thank you, Father, for another of your thought provoking homilies. Sometimes at Mass I miss an important point since I am not an auditor learner. At home, I put on my headset and close my eyes to shut everything out so I can give my full attention to your wise words. I rewind if I need to so as to be sure I heard every word clearly. Many thanks.

Father, Psalm 23 is my favorite psalm. When I was in the fifth grade, my teacher taught us many scripture passages, and she said them aloud with us every day. I’m so sorry public school teachers are not allowed to help children learn scripture nowadays.

Yes, for years I have been thinking about how if God gives us the faith then we are called to be missionaries to our family and friends. I have thought about that for years and of course I have been praying for my family and friends since I was 14. It’s just like, a spiritual natural law that we are called to help our family with prayers

I think it’s more accurate for us to say my God, my God why have I abandoned you? Why would I choose sin over Grace? Why would I choose the world over the God who made the world and who made me? Why would I choose a short false imperfect heaven over the true eternal paradise which Jesus offers us with him as he offered it to the good thief from the cross let us remember that God offers us the best deal in life and his words of wisdom that say: “What does a man profit if he gains the whole world but lose his own soul? “ this world offers nothing of value greater than the soul that God created for us and the eternal heaven that he created for our soul!!! as Psalm 62 says …in God alone as my soul rest , and as Saint Augustine says “my soul is restless until I rest in you oh God!”
